ACTIVITIES FOR LIGHTS OUT :: PHILIPPINE YAOI CONVENTION
The following will be the activities that will be held on the 29th of
May,2004 at Casa Milan Clubhouse, Fairview, Novaliches. You can check
the FAQ to check out more information about the venue, ticket price,
and others.
The doors of Casa Milan will be opened at 3 p.m. and closed at 11
p.m.
POOL
- Every invitee will have the privilege of swimming in Casa Milan's
pool, as the ticket price comes with pool use. It's a nifty pool and
strangely enough, this clubhouse reminds me of the Aoe Mansion.
Nonetheless, it's a big pool that will be available once the gates
are open. Nightswimming is also available. However, you can only swim
if you're wearing proper swimming attire. Hopefully, the lifeguard
will be hot too.
TRADING POST
- Are there manga or CDs that you are oggling over? Then you can head
over to the TRADING POST and swap for it with fellow yaoi fans. You
can also get J-ROCK items and other paraphernalia you've been
wanting. Do remember that we do not tolerate piracy so no one should
be selling any VCDs, CDs, DVDs that are non-original (in short,
PIRATED!) Please, if you love 'em, support 'em by buying the
originals.
OPEN FORUM
- Here you can talk to experts and fellow fans about things that
you'd like to question about fandom, yaoi, and anything related to
these topics. So far, the topics that might be discussed in the open
forums are as follows:
1.) Observing Proper Fandom Decorum
2.) The Physics of Yaoi (with the help of Kodaka manuals)
3.) Yaoi Psychology
READING LIBRARY
- Always love yaoi but never had the access to them? Then now is the
time to whore as many yaoi manga as you can (and some of them are
scanlated too!) Titles include works by Kazuma Kodaka (Kizuna), Yuki
Shimizu (Love Mode), and some doujins and fanfiction of your favorite
series (Harry Potter, TeniPuri, Saiyuki, and more!) The reading
library is open for all the invitees from the start to the end of the
convention.
FILM SHOWING
- Well, this is the greater of bulk of the Yaoi Con. The following
films could be shown in the convention: Kaze to Ki no Uta, Kizuna, Ai
no Kusabi, Lezzon XX, Zetsu-Ai since 89, Fish in the Trap, Kusatta
Kyoushi no Houteishiki, Sekimatsu Darling, Legend of the Blue Wolves
Episode 1 (no sub) AND MORE MORE GOODIES! ^___^

TERMS AND CONDITIONS TO REMEMBER FOR THE LIGHTS OUT : YAOI CON
1.) Fill up the registration form truthfully.
- We are making sure that we would get to know the people we are
inviting into this con. We wouldn't like to see people who feel that
they won't be getting their money's worth, so please fill up our
registration form. And, we wouldn't want to bring in stalkers too. So
for your safety (and everyone else's too) fill up the registration
forms truthfully. Be sure that you have an ID to confirm your
identification. You don't have to worry about private information
being shared to other people. Whatever you sign there only goes
through the eyes of the screening committee of the Manila Nights.
They will hold your information confidential. If you don't feel good
about it, stalk one of them.
2.) NO SELLING OF NON-ORIGINAL CDs, VCDs, Mangas, and DVDs of artists
and their works.
- Absolutely no piracy! Please, we don't want the con to be a harem
for pirates.
3.) NO Media coverage.
- If you are a media personality, you can't say a word to your peers
about this event. This is a private convention for this genre and we
hope you would respect that.
NOTE: We're hoping that YOU would help us make this convention
possible. Invite as many friends as you can until we reach the 300
quota! If we don't reach the quota, the con will not push through. So
bring 'em in and make them register!

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1.) Since you will be discussing adult themed thingies, must I be 18
to join?
- No dearie, you don't have to! It really depends on how you answer
the registration form. If we feel that you are mature enough to
handle the issues that will be discussed and seen in this convention,
then we will send you an invitation.
2.) Where will this event be held?
- We will hold it at the Clubhouse of Casa Milan Neapolitan, just
straight down Commonwealth Avenue, near SM Fairview.
3.) When will this event be held?
- The tentative date is on May 29, 2004. This date will push through
if we reach the 300 quota.
4.) Do I have to pay anything to get in or is it for free? If ever I
pay, how much will I pay?
- This is not a free event; unfortunately, we don't have enough cash
for that. You will have to pay an amount of 300 pesos once you get
invited. We will make further announcements as to when we will start
collecting money for this convention.
5.) Up to when can we register for the con?
- You may register until Feb. 28, 2004! SO REGISTER AS EARLY AS
POSSIBLE!!
6.) Why must we pay 300?
- Because we are not rich babies, and well, we do admit we need your
help on this one. Don't worry, the 300 comes with pool and food and
access to tons of yaoi goodies so it'll be worth it, ne?
7.) Why 300 people?
- The more the merrier! ^_~
8.) How will we be informed if we are invited?
- We will inform you via e-mail or SMS if you have been invited to
LIGHTS OUT. You will be invited once you have passed our little
screening. Don't worry, the more honest your registration form is,
the greater your are chances to get an invite!
9.) How can we be updated regarding the quotas and other updates
about the con?
- You can check this site or check the mailing list. ^_~ The mailing
list is only for those who have been invited already.
10.) When will you start collecting money?
- We will collect the payments on the week of March 7 - 13. This will
only happen if 300 have pre-confirmed a week before. Please do know
that we will contact you personally as to where you can go to pay for
the con.
11.) Where is Casa Milan?
- We will post a map soon... please be patient.
