ummm jm well gusto ko sana pumunta kaso walang time ehh ^^;; hehe pero can i give a suggestion nalang. pag naging pay for play na sya, ummmm wag nila delete ang mga characters ng players kasi kawawa naman yung mga nasa second jobs na hehe kasi pinagtsagaan nila yun kahit super draggy ng pag level up. and dont delete the items of the characters kasi talagang magwawala lahat ng tao na nag laro ng PRO dahil sobrang hirap makakuha ng rare items sa game. yun lang ill post my other suggestion pag nakaisip na.
Sent you a text message, but did not receive a reply. As such, I'm posting my proposal for a pRO payment scheme to the boards in hopes that you will be able to receive and transmit it. This proposal is based on conversations with a couple of hundred pRO players with higher echelon level players (and therefore, some of the more active and most likely to continue service into the payment period).
30-hr pre-paid card: Php 100.00
100-hr pre-paid card: Php 200.00
Monthly unlimited Subscription: Php 350.00
Tri-monthly (quarterly) Subscription: Php 900.00 (Php 300.00 per month)
Annual Subscription: Php 2,500.00 (Php 208++ per month)
Payment should be done via pre-paid cards distributed through (1) internet cafes such as Netopia; (2) hobby shops; and (3) distribution centers such as stalls that provide cellphone cards and internet cards. I suggest that a pvc card with a scratch-off section would be ideal, with an account-loading number imprinted underneath.
Concerning the player database wipe, I believe that it would be a necessary evil in order to enforce paid subscription. Perhaps a good comprimise would be to allow retention of a subscriber's account upon early payment for said service. Provide a two-week period for payment wherein the subscriber could retain his account data, after this period, all unpaid accounts would be deleted. If you wish, you could charge an additional Php 100.00 as a clerical expense.
A complete database wipe could be detrimental to subscribership. Although I personally wouldn't mind starting over, many other players would be hessitant to do so. Some subscribers will be lost in this way.
In essence, pRO appears to be a very viable venture. The large player database during the beta (I've seen it approach 4000 concurrent connections at certain times), may be small in comparison to other countries, but it is a solid start. The biggest issue at this point is to maintain and improve subscribership into the paid period. This can only be achieved through affordable pricing and aggressive marketing.
A community has already formed, it is now up to Level-Up to safeguard and enrich this community to the maturity that approaches the global standard.
Regarding the upcoming pay-for-play system this september, your status will be saved and you will still continue from where you last saved. Say, you were already a lvl50 swordsman during beta-testing, after the formal launch of RO on september, you can still play as your character starting from the same level where you last left it (lvl 50)- the only difference would have to be that you have to purchase the prepaid cards for you to continue playing. =)
