Be it enacted by the Queen's most excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Canadian Parliament, in this present Parliament assembled, and by authority of the same, as follows:
The Cabinet
1. The Cabinet shall consist of all ministers elected by Parliament.
2. The Leader of the Opposition and the Speaker of the House may attend meetings of the Cabinet, but not vote there.
3. All Cabinet officers, the Opposition Leader and the Speaker may recommend to the UN delegate the expulsion or readmittance of member states or the passwording of the region.
4. The Cabinet, when taking votes, shall vote by poll.
5. The Cabinet shall meet in the Situation Room, unless security concerns require it to meet in secrecy, in which case it shall meet in the Cabinet Room.
6. The Cabinet, as a whole, shall appoint the Justices of the Supreme Court
7. If there should arise a situation outside the competency of any minister, the Cabinet shall decide what minister shall be assigned to handle the situation.
The Prime Minister
1. The Prime Minister shall preside over all Cabinet meetings.
2. The Prime Minister may summon ministers to the Cabinet to report on their departments.
3. The Prime Minister shall designate a deputy prime minister to preside over Cabinet meetings in his/her absence.
4. The Prime Minister shall approve all defence and intelligence operations undertaken by the Solicitor-General or Minister of Defence.
The Attorney-General
1. The Attorney-General shall be the chief law officer of Canada, and be responsible for the drafting and enforcement of the criminal laws.
2. He/she shall represent the Government before the Supreme Court, and conduct prosecutions for the Crown.
3. He/she shall endeavour always to protect the civil rights of Canadians.
4. He/she shall maintain a copy of the Constitution of Canada, and links to the Charter of Rights and Freedoms, or copy and paste that document to this board.
The Solicitor-General
1. The Solicitor-General shall be the head of the Canadian Security Intelligence Service, the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, and the national prisons.
2. He may conduct any intelligence operations in foreign regions, with the consent of the Prime Minister.
3. He may conduct counterintelligence operations in Canada, and monitor Canadian member states, with the consent of the Prime Minister.
The Minister of Defence
1. The Minister of Defence shall be head of the Canadian Armed Forces, and shall command them with the consent of the Prime Minister.
2. The Minister of Defence shall, with the consent of the Prime Minister, conduct all operations, offensive or defensive, necessary to defend Canada, with the proviso that he may conduct offensive operations only in time of declared war.
The Minister of Finance.
1. The Minister of Finance shall propose all Government revenue bills and appropriations to the Parliament, and shal draw up the budget.
2. The Minister of Finance shall maintain the stability of the Canadian currency, and the stability of the national economy, and shall oversee banks and financial institutions, including the stock exchanges.
3. The Minister of Finance shall oversee the collection of all revenue, and the disbursement of all funds from HM Treasury.
4. The Minister of Finance shall oversee the Royal Canadian Mint.
5. The Minister of Finance shall oversee trade with other regions, in conjunction with the policies of the other members of he Cabinet.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs
1. The Minister of Foreign Affairs shall negotiate all treaties and pacts with foreign regions, subject to the ratification of Parliament, and oversee all other diplomatic communications.
2. The Minister of Foreign Affairs shall appoint ambassadors, with the approval of the Cabinet.
The Minister of Immigration
1. The Minister of Immigration shall enforce all laws relating to the entry of foreign nations into Canada, and shall maintain close watch against invaders and nuisances immigrating from abroad.
2, The Minister of Immigration shall enforce any laws relating to citizenship, including any residency requirements for becoming a citizen.
The Minister of Agriculture
1. The Minister of Agriculture shall oversee the welfare of the nation's agriculture, and oversee all federal funds to farms and agricultural concerns.
2. The Minister of Agriculture shall oversee the safety of Canadian foodstuffs.
3. The Minister of Agriculture shall ensure the rights of each Canadian to pie and other desserts, and to marijuana, and shall, if necessary, maintain state-owned farms for these purposes.
4. The Minister of Agriculture shall cooperate with the Minister of Finance in determining Canada's trade policy.
The Minister of Health
1. The Minister of Health shall oversee the standards of care in Canadian hospitals, regulate the medical profession, and administer Medicare.
2. The Minister of Health shall act immediately to contain contagious diseases.
3. The Minister of Health shall tell the WHO to fuck off when necessary.
The Minister of Industry
1. The Minister of Industry shall oversee the welfare of the nation's industrial and manufacturing concerns, and distribute all federal funds to same.
2. The Minister of Industry shall cooperate with the Minister of Finance in determining Canada's trade policy.
The National Librarian
1. The National Librarian shall superintend the Library of Parliament, maintain a record of important events in the region, and shall also maintain copies of all material copyrighted in Canada.
The Minister of the Environment
1. The Minister of the Environment shall maintain the integrity of the Canadian environment, and ensure the cleanliness of Canada's air, water and the health and viability of all natural resources.
2. The Minister of the Environment shall enforce all laws and regulations relating to the environment.
3. The Minister of the Environment shall search for sources of alternative energy.
The Leader of the Opposition
1. The Leader of the Opposition shall have the right to attend all Cabinet meetings, but not vote in them.
2. The Leader of the Opposition may question ministers in the Cabinet about their departments, and his/her questions must be answered, so long as the national security is not endangered.
As we will be adopting a different style of government than what is outlined here, I'm locking this thread, but not deleting it. It has some inherent value as a point of reference for future legislators.
