The purpose of the House of Commons is to allow those who aren't in Cabinet (or even those who are) to act as though they are in the RL Canadian House of Commons. Here, people will be able to set up their own parties, platforms, and engage in debates about issues and policies.

Ultimately, it is hoped that the House of Commons will keep all persons, regardless of Cabinet involvement, interested in Canada's political issues, and will hopefully create an "opposition" that helps to keep the Cabinet accountable. Further, it may lead to a party system in Canada's electoral process, and will give those interested in becoming a candidate in the next elections time to make their voice and ideas heard, and develop name recognition to help them towards their goal of getting elected.

This is a truly fantastic idea and one which I hope people decide to become involved in.
