I'm sure you'll have noticed that the region has been involved in a difficult diplomatic situation with the South Pacific for over a month now.
If elected, what would your position be on continued relations with the South Pacific, if any?
I believe that, although it has been tried and found to fail in other cases, a policy of non-intervention would work best in this situation. If the Tourist Trap of Candia is elected as your Minister of Foreign Affairs, the current policy of South Pacific member nations being advised to pull out of Canada will remain in effect, and a similar policy will be enacted for Canadian nations in the South Pacific. I will not, however, force anyone to leave.
Military might will not be used unless deemed absolutely necessary. Diplomatic relations will not be broken off, but will be at an extremely low level. I would rather focus my efforts on expanding Canada's relations with other regions which will also wish relations with us, rather than a region which has never been particularly kind to us.
