Cabinet report - April 2007
  • An amendment to clarify admin status for deputy ministers went to a regional vote and was passed.

  • We noted and approved revisions for several typos in the constitution.

  • The board guidelines option was activated.

  • Old Ogastein was appointed as regional cartographer.

  • We agreed to move ahead with the new forum. Discussions were held on various security aspects. Work has been going on behing the scenes, and is progressing well.

Unfortunately, the method we had planned for moving over old content will not work, so we will be able to take much less with us. A link back to the old boards will be provided.

  • Several nations were monitored due to their high endorsement count. One nation in particular was found to be rapidly gathering endorsements, and they were contacted to clarify their intentions.

They indicated no wish to run for delegate, but continued to gain endorsments above the delegacy contention guidelines. Permission was given to the delegate to expel, but this has been held in abeyance, as the nation in question has been slowly reducing their endorsement count. We will continue to monitor this.

  • A request for an exchange of ambassadors was received from the Great Land of the Moon. This gave rise to considerable discussion, but we regretfully declined. Based on their response, we were reconsidering this, when their application was withdrawn. We wish them well and hope to maintain friendly relations despite this setback.

  • Several embassies have been inactive, and the regions involved have been contacted. Based on the response or lack thereof, the relevant embassies have been (or will be) retained or closed.

  • The 10000 Islands Embassy was re-opened following the arrival of a new ambassador.

  • A new Embassy was opened as we entered into diplomatic relations with Taijitu.
