I like Alexander Keith's Beer. I am wondering what is the favorite Canadian Beer, at least in Nation states.

I think this is perhaps better suited to Standing Around the Water Cooler.

How can you call yourself a Canadian??

For reel beer, one must venture to a small town in Germany. It seems each one has it's own brewery and each is better than the last.

My favorite beer is Killian's.

Currently I mostly drink Coor's Light since I don't want to weigh 300 pounds.

More of my beer thoughts can be seen here.

A favourite?!?! Just one??

Don't be daft, there's far too many great beers available to have a favourite.

I will put in a good word for Granville Island and Gulf Islands breweries as recent choices.

Beer brewed across the Atlantic doesn't taste right, different soil, different hops. Real English ales and Bavarian beers on the other hand

I'll have you know that Scottish real ales regularly win the top prizes south of the border DESPITE not being brewed for the same categories.

English. Ptah. :wall: They can brew a decent pint occasionally, but the average falls well below the standards I'm used to in Scotland.

I would agree that there are many great beers out there, but I've already given my choice for a desert Island - Harviestoun Bitter & Twisted. Simply the best IPA on the planet (IMHO, of course).

Let's also put that "serve warm" myth to bed. Real ale should be served at cellar temperature, which would typically be around 10-12°C.

10 to 12 is still too warm for my tastes. I prefer all my beverages, including beer, to be as close to 0 as possible.

Well, except for hot chocolate. But that's the nature of that beast.

I happen to enjoy IPA, Guinness, and for the rare occasion I actually drink beer (and the weather's hot), I love to sip a Skinny Dip with a twist of orange. I like our hometown brews.
