Old Tretiak is pulling some strings in Ottawa and Moscow, and coming up with some
interesting results.... The fact that the Olympics now take the "best in the world", NHL players, makes this kind of a watered-down proposal to me. That, and the fact that the politcal climate isn't as volatile as it once was, means to me that a series such as this wouldn't really be very important to a lot of folks outside of nostalgia. Woodstock '94 and '99 showed us how hard it is to recreate the nostalgia factor.
did you read the part where the Russian Ambassador jokingly offered to recreate the political tension as well? :lol:
