Title: census?

i'm just wondering, in this constitutional era, should we have a census (or create a bureau of statistics) to add some data to our historical records - and of, course to help our ministers, and un delegate....
i've only been here a little while, so maybe i'm overstepping the bounds...but i thought i'd floor the idea.

Just to give you an idea of what i was thinking some questions could be
UN Category
UN Membership (Y/N)
Nation’s Population
Civil Rights Status
Economy Status
Political Freedom Status
Average Tax Rate
Main Industry
Etc…
These could provide some really interesting demographics, and possibly highlight some areas the regional government could focus on with the UN, as well as individual nations being able to get a better view of where the region is at.
If most people use the NS Tracker we could also get an average GDP, average currency value etc.
We could also collect data on the players, A/S/L etc, if people wanted.
These are just some preliminary ideas, of course.
I’d be happy to compile the data and report back.
And if everyone thinks this idea really sucks, feel free to post a reply “this idea really sucks.” I won’t take it personally.

Less government, not more.
As a voluntary effort by Canadian Citizens, however, I think it's quite an interesting idea.

Can't we all just have a sing along or something instead? I have lots of kazoos and Al plays the guitar. We could even build a campfire and make somores.

Actually, it could probably be automated. I think all the details are in the XML feeds for the countries, so a script which started from the regional list should be able to get it all.

i'm with you. definitely voluntary. a computer program could probably do it, but i'm not that sophisticated.... i was thinking i'd have to go through them each one by one.... even if it just batched all the pages, to give me the bulk data, that would be easy as pie.
