You're preaching to the choir, sister. I just thought it was amazing that they'd actually put "no drugs" ahead of the very first right in the constitution!

:o
Hey Ess, can I put that Drug War Clock on my blog?

Where is the common sense? This is a ridiculous ruling. I can see the need for anti-drug laws, however, in my opinion wasting taxpayers money enforcing cannibus laws for anyone is useless, and for someone who needs it to live is just plain cruel.

I love that when we have a problem in this country, we declare "war" on it. It's so decisive and active...
And makes folks think that it's actually having some sort of effect other than throwing a bunch of nonviolents in jail for long periods of time.

OK, yes this ruling was appalling and batshit, but even more shocking to me is that the 9th Circuit - the most liberal, cutting edge and therefore more overturned court in this country - made the ruling.
Save the Gay Immigrant Baby Whales? That used to be their motto. Unless some demonic possession or Bush administration appointee has changed that.

And we're not going to say anything about comparing the crap the drug companies sell us and medicinal marijuana. Are we, Ess?

Hell no!
Pills for people to swallow who cannot swallow, or are nauseous and won't keep it down.

I was thinking this morning--since medicinal marijuana is legal in Canada, what would be the international implications if we offered the California woman refuge here?
