Title: A few notes on the elections

bweezy - March 27, 2004 03:55 AM (GMT)
The elections will take place April 8-11. The election campaign starts effective immediately.

All nations that are resident in Canada are eligible to present themselves as candidates. Interested nations should announce their intention to run in the forum that corresponds to the position they'd like to assume.

Candidates are encouraged to post platforms and policy announcements, while average citizens are encouraged to pose questions to the declared candidates.

If anyone has any questions about the time commitment required for a cabinet post or the duties required, I'd encourage them to pm someone for the cabinet so that all such questions can be answered.

If there are questions, feel free to respond to this thread.

Can we vote for ourselves?

Yeah, I don't see why not. Everyone's allowed to, so it shouldn't effect the results anyways. (Unless someone doesn't vote for themself, but that's their problem).

There is nothing in the constitution to stop you from voting for yourself. The only person who can't vote is the sitting Prime Minister, who will only cast a vote in case of a tie. As such, Candia, you are free to vote for yourself.
