| Good day to all the friends, colleagues and distinguished guests of the South Pacific. As many of you are aware, in late November, Server1 on Invision suffered a hard drive failure, causing nearly 8 months of posts on its boards to be lost somewhere within the World Wide Web. Since then, we have been told that these posts will be restored but, as two months have passed, there appears to be very little movement on the part of Invision to complete this restoration. Therefore, I, as a member of the cabinet, a member of the Admin team here, and a former delegate, call for a Great Council to be held to address the issues which have arisen with the server failure. This Council will focus upon matters of the Charter, especially to replicate amendments which have been lost and to think of ways to manage our region if a similar server failure should occur in the future. Laws which have been lost will be addressed within a special session of the Assembly. Other matters may indeed arise during the Council, so we trust all will attend and participate. The Council shall commence on January 4th with a two week period for submission and debate of ideas and proposals, and a one week voting session. Moderators for this Council shall be, as both our Delegate and our Prime Minister have rt concerns, myself as a former delegate and member of the cabinet, Tsrill as Minister of the Region, and Tsunamy as the root Admin of these forums. |
