Title: Resignation

Judith Gap - February 23, 2006 10:36 PM (GMT)
I am announcing my resignation, effective 5:00 pm EDT on Friday, Feb. 24.

I cannot meet my RL responsibilities and online responsibilities with the same level of attention to detail that will satisfy me. I suspect I will continue to be a presence (minor one) in the region. I will also have to resign being ambassador to any region at the present time.

I will continue to advise the next MoFA if he or she desires.

king_girl - February 23, 2006 11:05 PM (GMT)
You have done an amazing job. Thank you for your example and your hard work. Good luck in everything you are doing in RL!

Parrrrtay - February 23, 2006 11:08 PM (GMT)
Thanks JG for all you have done for Canada. It has been a pleasure to work with you.

Thank you Judith Gap, for all the effort and high quality work you put into this region particularly as MoFA. In my opinion your tenure in office was exemplary.
A true champion of diplomacy.

*round of booming thunderous applause* :clapping:

Jack_Tarr - February 23, 2006 11:30 PM (GMT)
JG, I think Canada6 said it better than I could so I will just echo those sentiments.
Thank you for your service.

TinyVillages - February 23, 2006 11:39 PM (GMT)
JG, like so many others I want to offer my thanks for the hours you put in making Canada a vibrant, visible region. For the late hours, headaches, long reports and guiding wisdom, I join Canada6 with a loud applause.

Huzzah! Huzzah! Huzzah!

I hope we see you in the region more than your resignation indicates.

All words I might express have been said. Therefore, I must merely bow and tip my hat to you. You're a fine diplomat, and there's no higher praise coming from me. Have a bottle of champagne and a bowl of caviar, on me:

(And if you don't like caviar, you won't offend me. Can't stand the stuff :P )

General BenjaminA - February 24, 2006 12:59 AM (GMT)
I must tell you. Your a wonderful diplomat, ambassador and best of all, a friend. I have whitnessed only some of your work, however, from what i here about you, you are not only active, but you are one of the kindest diplomats and ambassador that ever graced Nationstates. And I mean it. I hope you still are active and that we can continue the friendship which has only just begun.

Good day,
General BenjaminA

Sorry to see you step down, JG! You did a fantastic job! :Canada:

420_Celebrants - February 24, 2006 02:48 AM (GMT)
JG, I must confess, you are one of the main reasons that I got involved here and have stayed involved.

Your personality and attention to detail, as well as fun, is an inspiration that should last forever here. Any future MoFA has some giant shoes to fill.

Words have not yet been invented that properly portray what you mean to this region. Know in your heart that what you have done, no matter how much of a game it is, is really truly appriciated.

The fact that you know when to throw in the towel and not harm the region with ineffeciency is commendable. Kudos to you fine sir.

To me, the best compliment a person can recieve is a tip of the hat. I dunno why, but that's just something i've always viewed as being the best compliment a person can get. Simply walk down the street and someone gives a tip of the hat I think would be pretty awesome. So, to you JG, a tip of the hat.

Sir, it has been an honour to work with you.

Carbanousa - February 24, 2006 05:37 AM (GMT)
JG, I know I've said this before but, many, many thanks for all the work that's been put into the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
As Daemon has rightly said, it has been an honour to work with you.

I really do hope that you'll be staying around though :).

JG, I am in shock. But I hope that things work out for the very best, and I am proud to have served as an ambassador during your tenure. It was an honor to work with you.

Boss? Hold it, I seem to recall starting as an ambassador for you BCC and then becoming your deputy. I've always considered you The Boss. I'm just Angela, only not really.

laughterandsunshine - February 26, 2006 02:04 AM (GMT)
JG,
Sad to hear this news.
Good luck!

Ah, but you were my boss last, JG :P For what its worth, however, it was great to work with you; you were definitely one of the best DMs and one of the best bosses I've ever had! :D Good luck in the future :fonz:

It's arguable that Angela was the boss. :P

Sorry to see you go, JG. You did a literally amazing job as MoFA.

SensitiveMadScientists - February 28, 2006 03:10 AM (GMT)
Sorry about the late response JG, you deserve better. From the little time spent working with you, you have been a credit to Canada. Feel free to drop by at the 10000 Islands Embassy any time, you will always be welcome.

General BenjaminA - February 28, 2006 11:07 PM (GMT)
The person who is the next MoFA is going to have a hard time filling your shoes. :D

You were well, there is no words that can describe how wonderful you are.

I apologise for being late as well, but...

Well, I have only met JG a couple of months ago, but I can say that I have co-operated very well with him. We had a few very interesting discussions and, of course, it was under his term that GB&I and Canada created diplomatic relations.

You will always be welcome in the GB&I forum, JG.
