Title: Proposed change to the UN Forums
Carbanousa - February 12, 2006 04:33 PM (GMT)
I've been looking at the current UN Forums over the past few days, mainly due to the discussions that are happening. It occured to me that there currently are two UN Forums that serve similar purposes:
1. The "Current UN Poll", where you can "vote here on the current UN Poll (archived polls can be found in the UN forum below)";
and
2. "The United Nations" Forum, where "Polls on UN Resolutions as well as UN related discussion".
The proposed change would be to combine the two Forums with an Archive for past resolutions which would mean that the Inter-Regional Affairs could be used for draft UN Proposals submitted by Regional members and subsequent discussion(s).
With regard to past resolutions, an Archive Forum for the locked topics would be created to ensure that all UN related discussion are kept neat and tidy in an accessible manner. The location of the new UN Forum would be in International Affairs to keep discussion about UN issues in one place. The knock on effect would be that "The Ballot Box" would then be dedicated for Regional Elections and Referenda items.
Rather than go straight ahead with the changes I would very much like to see what people think of this idea and whether it would be of benefit or a pipe-dream.

I'm all in favor of the "KISS" principal so go for it.

Works for me.
JT, we're quite aware of your prediliction for the KISS principle and are in complete agreement as long as there are one or more females invoved with ourselves in the process.

If there are no objections, the changes can be done this evening (GMT).
