Description: Welcome to Canada

Judith Gap - January 23, 2006 01:35 PM (GMT)
I'm starting things a little bit early because of my schedule today.

Welcome everyone. Thank you for coming out to welcome our newest friends Great Britain and Ireland (GBI).

May our regions long know friendship! user posted image

Ok. That's just disturbing.

Better. Much better. user posted image

Thank you all for your kind and warm welcome!

I must admit that this is the most warm welcome I have found in all of the regions I have been Ambassador in (and there are many of these ;) ).

So, I think that my penguin is already properly dressed to join the Gala. After all, my feathers are very similar to a tail coat.

And here is something I brought for you from GB&I:

Hello, r3naissanc3r! :)

Quite the champagne tower! B)

Would you like a bite to eat or a drink, perhaps?

Parrrrtay - January 23, 2006 09:25 PM (GMT)
*picks up cell phone and cancels the champagne truck. Calls to order some wine and hard liquor instead*

Hello, r3naissanc3r welcome to Canada!

*pops open a bottle of champagne and the cork hits JT in the forehead* :ph43r:

OOPS!

king_girl - January 23, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
*takes a roast turkey cocktail sandwich and a drink*

Welcome r3naissanc3r and company. The tower is truly impressive.

r3naissanc3r - January 23, 2006 09:31 PM (GMT)
*checks the list*

For the beginning, one of these "Smoked Salmon on Melba Rounds" would be more than welcome.

And champagne for all!

Ess - January 23, 2006 09:34 PM (GMT)
*gets 2 glasses of bubbly from Shay and hands one to r3 before taking his arm and leading him to the buffet table*

r3naissanc3r - January 23, 2006 09:42 PM (GMT)
What an honour, to be led to the buffet by such a charming lady!

Ess - January 23, 2006 09:45 PM (GMT)
^_^ You are just a little charming, yourself! ;)

*hands r3 a plate and a napkin*

Help yourself! T & P's outdid themselves!

Parrrrtay - January 23, 2006 09:50 PM (GMT)
*puts a Chicken & Chanterelle Strudel on a plate and looks around for JT*

r3naissanc3r - January 23, 2006 09:54 PM (GMT)
Lol, r3 or r3n?

In GB&I, we haven't concluded yet on which of the above two we will use for me. Some support the first, since it is an "andromech droid", other the second, because it sounds better.

TinyVillages - January 23, 2006 10:01 PM (GMT)
I think JT is getting a couple stitches in his forehead.

Welcome, r3n. I see you've already been introduced to the best Canada has to offer. *Kisses each of Ess, KG and Shay on the hand, then selects some salmon and crackers.*

How is GB&I these days?

Ess - January 23, 2006 10:02 PM (GMT)
Upon further reflection, I've decided I like r3n better!

:D

How is GB&I these days?

Well, there are some heated debates these days, I'll include them on the following update ;) .

But this is not time for politics. Have fun!

Jack_Tarr - January 23, 2006 10:12 PM (GMT)
*Regaining conciousness, looks around and immediately knows who nailed him by her evil grin. Runs up to Parrrrtay pointing to the bump on his forehead.*

Now you have to kiss and make better.

It was an accident, I swear. (heehee)

kana da - January 23, 2006 10:26 PM (GMT)
*grabs some non-alcoholic wine and mingles*

Jack_Tarr - January 23, 2006 10:27 PM (GMT)
It still hurts! One more!

*As Shay reaches for my forehead again I move my head at the last instant and catch a big smoooochie square on her lips.*

NOW I feel better.

:hide:

r3naissanc3r - January 23, 2006 10:36 PM (GMT)
Maybe I should get hurt, too ;) .

Jack_Tarr - January 23, 2006 10:39 PM (GMT)

TinyVillages - January 23, 2006 10:44 PM (GMT)
Who built a kissing booth here while I wasn't looking?

I sense that there is going to be a rash of sudden injuries around Shay. ;)

r3naissanc3r - January 23, 2006 11:06 PM (GMT)
Lol, you build these kissing booths everywhere!

Can I have of these "Grilled Marinated Vegetables"?

Parrrrtay - January 23, 2006 11:11 PM (GMT)
r3n, help yourself. I think I will try some of them too, they smell delicious.

*Looks around for Westawy*
Hmmmm I was sure would be bouncing by here today ;)

Hey anyone seen Westaway today?

laughterandsunshine - January 23, 2006 11:55 PM (GMT)
Nope I haven't.
*Takes a plate and loads it up*

We would have been here earlier, but Texas just opened a new Consulate today as well - the Elite Conservative Circuit. It has been quite a day for diplomacy!

Texas wishes y'all's relationship the best!

Judith Gap - January 24, 2006 11:26 AM (GMT)
Congrats New Texas on your new friendship as well!

I had heard there would be dancing, although I haven't seen it yet. Who would like a dance?

r3naissanc3r - January 24, 2006 12:17 PM (GMT)
Thank you very much for your welcome, New Tex! And congratulations for your diplomatic success, as well! Cheers :D !

It is good to see that Westy has also joined the party. I am not the only one from GB&I here now.
