Already this term has been active.

In the Ministry of Foreign affairs we have seen the closing of United Federation of Planets's embassy because the region threw out its constitution. I'm still trying to determine if the region is headed back to conditions which meet our standards for diplomatic development.

We have also seen the closing of the West Pacific embassy because the current state of affairs during the constitutional convention did not meet our standards. Since our closing, the convention had been declared a failure and the region was turned into a dictatorship.

While Canada respects the right of all regions to make choices of government based on the needs of the region and the will of its people, we hope that The West Pacific will eventually return to the democratically elected government it deserves. Until that time, we hope that dissatisfied nations in The West Pacific will find homes in democratic regions throughout NationStates.

In happier news, we've decide to exchange embassies with both Europa and Great Britain and Ireland (GBI). During the next week we will be hosting formal parties in both embassies to welcome our new friends to Canada. I am pleased to announce Daemon as the first ambassador to GBI and Algal States as our first ambassador to Europa.

During the next several months, I am hoping to have several diplomatic posts open up and would appreciate the services of anyone who would like to be ambassador.
