Title: Deputy Minister

Daemon - December 31, 2005 08:45 PM (GMT)
I know that I don't have Minister powers yet, but I want to start advertising for the DMoD position. I figure I should start early, as there are traditionally few Deputy candidates.

So, anyone interested?

I've looked around, couldn't find an answer;

Exactly what are the duties of any Deputy Minister under your administration of this ministry?

There are no official duties. The big one is to take over from the MoD in the case of retirement or incapacitation.

That's right: incapacitation. MoD is no walk in the park.

Alright, thank you for answering my question.

Thus said, I would like to put myself forward for your consideration for the DMoD position. My experiences are listed as follows:

I have a fair bit of experience in the military aspects of NS, including service with NasiCorps, the ADN, and the RLA; I also have experience with smaller organizations, including my service as a Colonel in the North Pacific Defence Force (now defunct). As well, I have some experience with invading and invader tactics, as well as experience with infiltration and information gathering.

The big questions:

1) Defec, do you have any current positions with any region that could place you in a conflict of interest?
2) Are their any region members that have a problem with Defec becoming the DMoD? If yes, please write them out here formally, so that Defec is able to respond to them.

If I may?

I immediately thought "what a great team" when Defec put himself forward for DMoD.

Just sayin'.

:D

I do not believe so. My current duties outside of Canada are only two - global moderator, and regional cartographer, both for the region of North Pacific.

NoFunNinjas - January 2, 2006 10:21 PM (GMT)
i think Defec will be great for the job

The Conservative Party will have strong representation in the ministry of Defence with the Minister and Deputy. The CP will be highly accountable for Canada's security issues. I'm sure you're both up to the task.

As I see no objections to Defec so far: I will allow one more day for feedback before officially pronoucing him to be the DMoD.

Are you still involved with the intelligence community of North Pacific?

Defectiveness - January 3, 2006 12:42 AM (GMT)
No, I'm not. North Pacific no longer maintains a military force nor an intelligence service. However, I do maintain communication with various extra-regional military figures, primarily for personal reasons.
