Title: ParrrrTay for MoJ

Parrrrtay - December 20, 2005 09:43 PM (GMT)
I would like to announce that I am running for Minister of Justice. It is an area where I have exprience that is well known to many residents here in Canada. I also bring to the table some new ideas that will help with the future of justice and security for everyone that resides and plays here.

For the future I would like to work on a more effective disclosure law.

I would also look towards a solution to the DMoD and the DMoRA receiving adminstration privilages as soon as their status is elevated to interim. As the law stands they are granted admin. privilages as soon as their predecessor steps down.

I feel a confidence vote is needed before anyone receives administration privilages. (As it stands right now we would have only one Admin. if the vote of confidence was required before Admin. privilages were granted.) I would like to discuss having Ministers pick their Deputies before they are voted into office as a possible solution.

I will work in full cooperation with the cabinet to bring to frutation the idea of a welcome minister. It is an idea I have thought a lot about and agree with. Canada is a great region and with your vote for me as Minister of Justice it can continue to move forward.

Thank you
ParrrrTay

There are a few additional items that I know managed to reach the point of debate in the cabinet that I'd like to know if you plan to pursue as well:

Minister impeachment process

A process to fairly handle reviews of cabinet punishments

Refine the Defense Alert Status

Yes, I have scanned over 'Minister Impeachment Process' and the 'Refine the Defense Alert Status' threads. I think both of them are important issues that need pursuing, as well as cabinet punishments. I definately look forward to adding to them discussions.

That sounds very good to me. I'd say you have my full support but that may be stating the obvious. ;)

You forgot to mention about finishing up the work with the loophole in the conflict of interest guidelines.

4. Where a government member of the Region of Canada or a candidate in the Region of Canada is sent on an approved intelligence mission to another region and assumes a government position in the other region with the approval of Cabinet or the CIA, the requirements for public disclosure contained in this law shall be waived.

I do not believe that Ministers or Deputy Ministers, should be permitted to run for governmental roles in regions without public disclosure.

Parrrrtay - December 21, 2005 12:40 AM (GMT)
Just so everyone knows, I hold no other government position in any other region.

I would also like to inform everyone that I have had many offers for deputy should I win this election. After thinking carefully, I want everyone to know that King_Girl will be my deputy if I win.
She is very level headed and has a great ability to look at any given situation from all angles. I feel she would be a great asset to have by my side.

:clapping: kg!

king_girl - December 21, 2005 12:54 AM (GMT)
Thank you for that kind introduction. I am happy to accept the deputy position and I will work hard to keep Canada the great place we all love to meet and mingle. I support Shay in her platform and I would be happy to answer any questions aimed at me.

Thank you for running Parrrrty.

I do have a question though.

As Minister of Regional Affairs I had to deal with the task of disclosing cabinet discussions. Some of my reports were more sucessfull than others. After reading your idea of improving the cabinet disclosure law, I do feel that with an improved law the quality and validity of the reports would improve and become easier to write.

Do you currently have any ideas as to how the disclosure law might be improved or are you simply underlining and presenting the issue now, in order to handle is as it comes up in cabinet?

Parrrrtay - December 21, 2005 01:15 PM (GMT)
C6, the disclosure I was refeering to was the disclosure to the public from Ministers holding Government positions in the 'Governmental Conflict of Interest'

I feel very strongly about the citizen nations of the Region of Canada being entitled to disclosure of the activities of its elected Regional Government.

Are you ever so sure about this?

I asked her to adopt me and she almost did.

I've also PM'd her and she has actually replied to me each time, being nice and believing that I am a decent person to talk to.

Are you absolutely sure she is level headed and can look at *all* sides of a dodecahedron at once?

TinyVillages - December 21, 2005 05:01 PM (GMT)
I think it's safe to add patience and tolerance towards others to her list. This seems to have been well-developed over the last ten years, or so.

Looking at all sides of a transparent dodecahedron is easy. KG says it's like looking at a brain that has no real substance to it. Anyway, she tells me that a lot when we're talking.

Parrrrtay - December 21, 2005 05:05 PM (GMT)
Thank you TV you answered that question very well, YOU'RE HIRED.

If anyone else has any more questions feel free to direct them to my newly hired press secretary.

Jack_Tarr - December 21, 2005 05:12 PM (GMT)
This could turn into the Bill and Hillary show!! I'm afraid...very afraid.

The True Domination - December 28, 2005 05:00 PM (GMT)
Parrrrtay, your openess, warmth, and strength of character have added much to these forums, and Canada by extension. Not to take anything away from all the hard work and diligence others have put into this thing, but once in a while, a very special person emerges. That person has the ability to garner the trust and admiration of all he or she encounters. For these reasons, and many more, you're the obvious choice for any office you decide to run for. With people like you, the future of Canada is guaranteed, and the lives of all who reside here enriched.

I have no doubt that you'll do a great job as MoJ. However, I also look forward to some later time when, if you so choose, you accept the reigns from the sitting delegate and lead the whole of Canada.

Thanks for throwing your name in the hat, and good luck.

TD

Acually no good luck will necessary. Parrrrty is the only candidate for MoJ.

Parrrrty will acclaimed MoJ for the next term.

Congratulations.

Thank you C6

TD....
I truely don't know what to say. A simple 'thank you' just doesn't seem like a good enough response. I am utterly speechless...

JT, you've managed it a few times, but for only as long as you can keep her mouth busy doing something else. ;)

Shay, you deserve the praise. I second it 100%.
