this is some what of a spur of the moment decision. ive been considering running for an office for a while. i figured i might as well just run. anyways, as Minister of Daughnuts and Beer i think i can make this forum even more fun than it already is. Canada will be the more better funner non-crappy region. i plan on keeping the sports going. i would also be interested on doing a section on internet culture. it seems apropriate since NS is an internet game. i was thinking a place to post funny pictures that members have found or made themselves with photoshop or other editing programs. a place to post links to flash videos, interesting/funny websites and anything else of interest that can be found all over the net. that would be my platform, i know there is probably stuff i forgot to write here so please ask any questions you might have. thank you


how about starting and official Canadian vocabulary? a place to define all the crazy words people come up with hear on the forums. ive seen some good ones since ive been here. people would be able to actualy use them as if they were real words. i think having our own vocabulary would realy define us as a region.

How would you propose handling such ideas? To me, it seems that there might be some issues with bandwidth useage, hosting space and the issues of having a section that might not be available to all users.

People with dial up will probably not wish to sit there for an hour waiting for a flash vid to load.

However, you have gained much respect for making the move to run for office. Good on ya.

the idea to have a central place has been in my head for a while. as far as people with dial-up its true they would have a hard time watching flash videos. because of that i would like to devote most of the space to pictures, jokes, stories, and more 56k friendly material. picture editing is kind of a passion of mine and i know theres a lot of people on here that know some photoshop or are interested in learning. i think it would be a good resource to help people to kinda get a feel for what the program can do. hosting pictures isnt a big problem, theres more than enough free hosting sites out there.

It's good to see you get involved NFN. Remember the MoDB is about more than just having fun.

So if you shift your focus slightly to Canadian culture, you will be on the right track. Free beer is always a plus :D

So what's your favorite beer?

i had some stuff called 8 ball stout a few weeks ago that was realy realy good. its a dark beer. very good though, i tend to like dark beers more than pale.

this is what a site called Liquidsolutions.biz said about it:
Damn fine stout!! It pours back as tar and thick like motor oil. Dark roasted aroma with hints of chocolate and grassy hops. Espresso and molasses are the main flavors to this thick brew. It ends with a nice medium hop bitterness and a pinch of black malt astringency that helps bring a quick satisfying finish.

Krispy Kreme Donuts Review:


A Krispy Kreme Donuts was recently built in missoula. i went and got 2 dozen original glazed with a friend of mine the other day. to be honest i dont think they are all they're made out to be. firstly they were not fresh. the last time i had krispy kremes they still hot from the oil. the ones i had this time were cold, somewhat small, and were too sweet for my taste. they also have, i think, way too much glaze on them. it was like eating candy. the glaze crumbles and gets all over the place. they do however, have good flavor and the texture is such that it almost melts in your mouth. so, overall i give them 2.5 out of 5 stars.

*Gets the feeling that I said something previously about Krispy Kremes*

I know someone who works there so I sometimes get free samples!

ive only ever had the original glazed so you could review one of their other types of doughnuts. you could do a beer review also.
