As of yesterday, Nasicournia agreed to the opening of an Embassy with the Pacific Army. The PRP had already been accusing us of doing such before the act had actually occurred. In our transparent public discussions on the opening of the PA Embassy, we made it clear that the opening in no way was meant to send a message of recognition or legitimacy to the ideals of the PA, most especially because as with most regions, Nasicournian opinion is split regarding the subject. However, in our discussions, we deemed that especially due to the propogandic parallels being drawn between our two regions, the opening of an Embassy to facilitate communication between Nasi and PA was most important. The region took a vote, the results were largely in the affirmative (with dual PA residents abstaining), and hence under our Constitution we followed the results of the vote and opened the embassy.

We would like to point out that many other regions maintain communication with the Pacific Army as well; this is not a phenomenon limited to Nasicournia, and was our sole purpose in opening the Embassy.

We openly invite the PRP to present evidence that the Nasicournian Intelligence Agency has embarked on "incursions" against the PRP. We would also point out that NasiCorps has never militarily attacked the PRP, and Nasicournia itself has only ever been involved in a liberation attempt of the Pacific when the majority of the free world also participated--and even then, only by way of volunteer military personnel.

We would then invite the PRP to inform the world of "Operation: Hiedra" and other such nefarious activities designed to expose intelligence agents of ADN regions in order to blackmail, bribe, and expose these nations to invader groups. We would further ask the PRP to justify their methods in procuring this information, which included but was not limited to the messenger and IRC impersonation of Nasicournian Intelligence officials, and Intelligence officials from other ADN regions. We would also like an explanation of why the BPI ordered the placement of espionage agents in Nasicournia, Equilism, the North Pacific, and other regions both with and without membership in the Alliance Defense Network.

We have never actively given any enemy of the PRP "aid, comfort, support, and training." Many residents of Nasicournia sympathize with the plight of the Pacific refugees that have not yet left the game; indeed some of our residents qualify as such themselves. As of the time of this statement, there is and has been to foreign policy against the PRP. Even as recently as last week we were in fact extending an invitation to open communications with their government.

On the contrary, the PRP has never made any gesture to open communications with Nasicournia. Again and again (most recently by our Founder, Pope Hope herself) we have made gestures on behalf of our region both on the PRP forum and the Equilism forum (please note there are three threads included there) to open communications between the government of Nasicournia and the PRP, and as you can see, again and again our attempts were rebuffed, not because of a reason of ours, but because the PRP demanded it be on their terms or on none at all.

Nasicournia had no foreknowledge of nor hand in the resurrection of the Pacific Army. We have always openly stated that we have several Pacific exiles as citizens of our region; we actively invited them to join our region during the mass expulsions executed in the past.

On the argument of their current legitimacy, these residents have never ceased in their determination to free their homeland. They hope that any nation wrongly expelled from their home by usurpers would maintain this mindset far longer than two years later, even when others have granted the invading force legitimacy.

Nasicournia itself is a widely diverse region with nations of dual citizenship from many different regions around the world. All of these regions hold different policies on the PRP (or none at all), and with our diverse membership, there is no consensus of opinion. It is a "farce and a joke" to continue stating that Nasicournia itself is one of mass mindset, and furthermore to insist that we all hold the same opinions regarding the the evolution of the NPO into the PRP.

Furthermore, Nasicournia has consistently offered refuge to Pacific Exiles spanning the entirety of the two+ years in which there has been a need to provide asylum for exiled Pacificans. Not all of our exiled Pacifican residents are from two years ago; many are considerably more recently ejected, and some held positions of leadership.

In fact, due to our acceptance of Pacific exiles, we have more than enough hard evidence to demonstrate to the world that the PRP has been planning to declare war upon Nasicournia and its borders months before the action was taken on December 14th, 2005. They simply hadn't come up with a good enough excuse for it before now. We had hoped that we would never have to reveal this evidence to the world, but it appears they have forced our hand.

It is quite sad to see the PRP further persecute citizens of the Pacific for their involvement in yet another region. This statement is undoubtedly directed at 1838/SWATH, which is further disappointing, considering SWATH has on numerous occasions also been one to promote an opening of relations (including embassy exchange) between Nasicournia and the PRP. It seems that since their attempts to exile him by way of doctored screenshots failed, and this is the only way they can "legally" revoke his citizenship.

The citizens of Nasicournia had been wondering about the renewed propaganda campaign being perpetrated by the PRP against our sovereign region as of late. Today's statement released by the PRP, which basically amounts to a declaration of war, definitively explains the recently increased activity.

Any and every nation and region of the international community who peruses the tabloids and news stories of the PRP, in combination with statements made on their own home forum and abroad, will easily witness that certain members of the PRP government have openly and actively attempted to provoke Nasicournia long before now. They will also be able to see that no such provocation exists here or in Nasicournian activity abroad. We have adopted a policy of ignoring such propaganda and attempts to provoke conflict in the past. Unfortunately with this outright threat, we are no longer able to do so. We hope the international community comes to understand this in the tumultuous days to come.

With this statement, we recognize the threats presented to us by the People's Republic of the Pacific. With no option of peaceful resolution or diplomacy left available, from here on out we will react accordingly.

Nasicournia was not active in gameplay politics when the founderless status of the Pacific was "taken advantage of." The ban button was "taken advantage of repeatedly" natives reached out for help and defenders became involved. Although some world leaders have chosen to recognize the PRP as the legitimate government of the Pacific, this is not indicative that they also recognize the PRP version of history. At one time or another every defender group in the world was fighting against the PRP. The ban button eventually beat them into submission, and time has been seen as a justification for some to recognize the PRP government in hopes of this leading to a more democratic Pacific region.

The PRP has made it quite clear in past discussions amongst themselves that they would wage war on Nasicournian soil were they able; and have debated the merits and consequences of executing such a plan regardless of our Foundered status, as evidenced here:

In addition to this, the world has witnessed PRPers making statements today directly relating that there are "more ways" to fight a war in this game besides doing so with military force. We wonder if the PRP would care to elaborate on this extension of their original threats. And exactly what kind of whirlwind will we soon be reaping?

So soon in the rebuttal the PRP has chosen to ignore clearly worded statements in our initial response to their accusations regarding the opening of the Pacific Army embassy. As we stated is evidenced publicly, in this thread for example, Nasicournia opened the Embassy yesterday after a democratic vote with the understanding that it was created to facilitate communication between our two regions. Nothing more, nothing less. The Pacific Army is first and foremost a defender region, and this is one reason communication between our groups is vital. Nasicournia has always used embassies primarily as a means of communication, otherwise we would not have hosted embassies for certain other regions in times of past conflict between us. We did not intend to "recognize" the Pacific Army as the rightful government of the Pacific; in fact we didn't even consider any option other than the PA serving as its own region.

We find it extremely unproductive that the PRP continues using such derogatory terms as "groupies," "the Great Satan" (in reference to our founder), and engaging the ultimate insult which is also placing their own forum in violation of the Invisionfree TOS by referring to our residents as Nazis. There is no place for anti-Semitism in this conflict, and we request the flaming cease immediately.

Nasicournia has no control over the actions of retired NS players, nor would we seek it. However things may be done over on the PRP forum, Nasicournia believes in freedom of speech (within reasonable limits), and we also know full well that the PRP can tell the difference between statements made by citizens during a chat argument and an official decree from the leadership of Nasicournia.

We regret that Jon Blackwolf apparently violated the sovereignty of your banlist, and suggest that you take it up with him if this is indeed true.

Valiturus is the Pacific Army region in the capacity as an Ambassador. He is in fact clearly marked as such on the Pacific Army forum, and therefore not being a Pacific Army member cast his vote. Nasicournia did not require that our dual PA/Nasi residents abstain regardless. We stated that citizens of PA abstained from voting, which is true. In fact, all abstained except for one. Either way, the vote was overwhelmingly in favor of opening an embassy.

As clearly observed in the threads provided in our first response, we invited the PRP to open communications with Nasicournia, period. We were given conditions under which we were to comply or be denied; we explained that those conditions could not be met until there was an open line of communication, and also that the PRP would not be allowed to dictate our foreign policy, as they were attempting to do.

Intelligence recently received and hopefully soon to be elaborated on refutes your claim regarding BPI spies and their activities in Equilism. Let us also note for the record that while the PRP cannot provide proof to back up their claim that Nasicournia has engaged in intelligence operations against them, they have purposefully neglected to deny that they themselves have placed spies in both Nasicournia and the North Pacific.

This was not an invasion. Nasicournia was never even given the request. It was, as seen, an ADN request for ADN members to move puppets into the Pacific. This was done as a strategic move in order to further our attempt to liberate the North Pacific region from the oppressive chains of the North Pacific Directorate, and was in no way executed in an attempt to invade the Pacific itself, as was explained by the ADN Secretary of State. Furthermore, Pope Hope cannot order the ADN to do anything as the Founder of Nasicournia. Only as the Director of the ADN could she have made such a request, which is exactly what happened. It was also an ADN intelligence team that devised the plan that required the move, not Nasicournia.

Nasicournia did not participate in this excursion into the Pacific. This claim is completely invalid.

The Director of the ADN was put in a difficult position during this period of time, being one of the few people in NS to know what was actually going on and trying to stop individual nations within the ADN from moving into the Pacific without giving the would-be liberators a good reason, being sworn to secrecy at the time by Unlimited himself. Defenders, pacific exiles, and individual nations all moved into the Pacific. None of them knew the actual circumstances. Even when RL was finally mentioned they did not believe it, since Francos had previously claimed to be going on vacation in the past when in reality he was springing a trap.

All of those historical details aside, it is irrelevant to your claims of invasion by Nasicournia, as Nasicournia was not involved in the incident.

This has all already been addressed.

The PRP has never attempted to solve conflicts with Nasicournia via diplomatic channels.

The conference of which you speak was entirely organized by the ADN when the ADN was a very different place than it is now. Neither Nasicournia nor any other individual regions were invited. The representatives present were there to represent the ADN and the ADN only. Due to RL factors that pulled the organizer's time elsewhere, the conference did not proceed as had been hoped, and that is indeed regrettable. However, that was not Nasicournia, nor was it held in regards to Nasicournia interests or Nasicournia-PRP relations. The PRP implication that there were any "Nasicournian terms" is completely false.

This is also completely false. As stated in our first response, "Nasicournia had neither foreknowledge of nor hand in the resurrection of the Pacific Army." Indeed, no "members of the Nasicournian high hierarchy" (we assume this means Cabinet/Department Directors) are even simply members of the Pacific Army. When our request was made the Pacific Army had already been in existence for some time, as evidenced by the fact that the first request took place in a thread on the PRP forum regarding that region.

Nasicournia was not asked to "cease all hostile activities via this proxy region." We were told we must cease communications with the Pacific Army if we wanted to communicate with the PRP. Furthermore, Nasicournia is engaged in no hostile activities against the PRP in that region or any other. We also explained to the PRP that we wished to open up communications before engaging in an embassy exchange, and received an "all or nothing" response in return. This is all visible in the threads posted in the first Nasicournian response. The PRP was the only group making ultimatums in this situation. Nasicournia simply desired to start from the ground up, by establishing an official line of communication with the PRP--something we did not have at all previously.

On the contrary.

We will repeat one last time: as is clearly visible to anyone willing to actually research their statements, Nasicournia in no way voted to recognize the Pacific Army. Nasicournia voted solely on an embassy exchange designed transparently for the purpose of furthering communications between two defender regions; indeed between two regions that were being lumped together as one by certain parties including the PRP which was simply not true. Furthermore, though they were in no way required to abstain (which would be a violation of their Constitutional rights), nor were they asked to abstain, every PA participant sans one chose to stay out of the vote on whether or not to open an embassy to maintain open communications.

Nasicournian citizens are fully entitled to their own opinions. Nasicournian citizens who hold to the beliefs of old regarding the legitimacy of the PRP are not the only people in the whole world who hold this belief. There are many located throughout many regions, including those who have recognized the legitimacy of the PRP. Nasicournia will not prohibit our citizens from speaking their minds in regards to this issue, this is entirely correct. Nasicournia will not stop her residents from participating in the defender region of Pacific Army just as she has never stopped her citizens from participating in the PRP. National and regional sovereignty is of utmost importance to our citizens, and this is clearly reflected in our Constitution and government policy.

Out of all the nations in our region, the Pacific exiles who joined the Pacific Army either by departing Nasicournia or maintaining dual membership are indeed a small minority. Count them up and see for yourself.

By this argument the PRP must go around and declare war on every region which maintains relations with the Pacific Army--and there are quite a few. Nasicournia is no different than any other region that continues communicating with PA. We simply made an extra forum in which to do so in an organized fashion. It was no more than that...maintaining an open line of communication. Not even one dual resident has attempted to "participate" in subversive activities against the PRP nor to "support" that particular effort of the PA while "back home."

Nasicournia as a whole does support her residents. Not every resident agrees with every law or statement (no diplomatic recognition was given) made, and it is ludicrous to say that any one statement should be interpreted as representing the intentions of all regional citizens. The beauty of our democratic nature is that we are all entitled to our right to disagree. So we do not necessarily personally always agree with the results of votes, but we respect the democratic process and therefore abide by said results.

The only negative argument presented by a Nasicournian citizen in regards to the opening of the Pacific Army embassy was a prediction of incorrectly dispensed PRP backlash. She knew that the PRP would spin the opening into something bigger than it is, and she was right. The majority of us would not allow the threat of propaganda determine our sovereign votes to open the embassy with the sole purpose of maintaining open lines of communication, as was clearly stated to be the objective. No more than that no matter how loud anyone wants to claim otherwise.

It is well known that the history of the PRP rise to power is well-disputed, previously disputed by nearly every internationally-active region, and that the nature of the relationships some of those regions keep with the PRP have evolved regardless of their interpretation of history. What you stated above is the belief obviously held by the PRP. Not all regions nor individual nations hold the same belief, nor do they have to. Thus is the nature of the interpretation of history and how history becomes distorted one way or another as the years pass.

Nasicournia did not challenge the PRP. If we chose to challenge the PRP, we would be clear about it. If they mean we challenged the PRP's orders which attempted to dictate our sovereign foreign policy that is certainly true. But we did not take the action we did to challenge the PRP. Just last week Nasicournia was seeking communication with them and we were shot down repeatedly. No, the PRP came out with their first statement seemingly unprovoked, with only a weak excuse (internal foreign policy which was also grossly misrepresented to serve their purpose) and flimsy additional grievances to back it up. The PRP posted this inflammatory and transparently threatening statement all over the international community. Nasicournia has responded accordingly, and will continue to do so.

Nasicournia asks any residents who make a diplomatic mistake to right their wrong and apologize as necessary. We also discuss it openly with the other region involved. We do not mince their words aggressively to fulfill an ulterior political agenda when they attempt to commend our actions as was done to us by the person representing the "law" and whole of the PRP in regards to 1838/SWATH's trial. All Nasicournian citizens are bound by Nasicournian law and we will and have carried out the repercussions mandated by law should those laws be broken. We also did not know at the time that while the PRP was ridiculing and questioning our honest appeal that the screenshot was doctored they already knew it to be true, and indeed that Gordonel himself had done it.

As to Nasicournia "attempting to interfere with internal policy" of the PRP and in the "internal way in which the PRP grants citizenship, that is utter nonsense. We simply stated that it is deplorable to have seen PRP aggression towards Nasicournia taken out on 1838/SWATH...yet again. This is the third or fourth time he has been wrongly targeted. Nasicournia has grown to admire his ability to maintain activity in both the PRP and our region, and we are sincerely sorry to see him bear the brunt of this conflict. Furthermore, we do feel it is a shame that the PRP would stoop to punishing all Pacific citizens who have taken an interest in Nasi and moved nations here to further their NS enjoyment. We will not be doing the same.

Finally, we see this move as entirely hypocritical. Members of the PRP justify their actions in other regions based on "duality" apparently separating their national interests, and yet at the same time refuses to recognize the separate national interests of Pacific citizens. We truly hope that the international community recognizes this hypocrisy and affords PRP members attempting to claim duality with the same treatment they would offer you and yours should it become convenient to do so.

We do indeed hope that the PRP begins to conduct themselves with the same principles they expect of Pacific citizens in making a decision one way or another. Arguing vehemently that they themselves are not biased by their dual involvements and indeed that they represent different nations with different interests is not going to fly much longer when they are preaching the opposite as equally vehemently on their own forum.

On the contrary, Nasicournia accepts responsibility where responsibility is due. The PRP simply has a habit of fabricating actions that never took place, or shifting responsibility from an alliance to a region--a region they would find much different from any alliance if they took the time to look. Even in the past few months Nasicournia has corrected errors made more than once.

The best part of their entire rebuttal is this:

This government, which claims Nasicournia to be so many evil things, willingly admits to the spreading of propaganda against our sovereign region, and that indeed their most recent propaganda piece was just as we have claimed it to be--propaganda (with impeccably suspicious publication timing). Nasicournia does not reciprocate the propaganda, which has been traditionally insulting and sometimes morally deplorable to the point of being legally actionable. We have indeed ignored the propaganda for the most part. Were we like the PRP, we would have declared war long ago for engaging in such an obviously vicious and aggressive campaign against our sovereign region. Instead we have chosen to go about our daily lives concerned with internal matters, until we were slapped with this most recent stunt, which as proven has been a long time coming. Regarding the latest piece of propaganda, Nasicournians are not required to answer to the PRP, and never will be. The truth has been disseminated to those outside the PRP who have asked for it (and to one inside). Furthermore, the PRP most recently published an article indicating that the Alliance Defense Network was potentially attempting to spy on the South Pacific by placing an agent in said region with the intent to rise to the rank of TSP intelligence director. This seemed to be just another article until the fact surfaced that the TSP official with the suspicion was actually Goddessness of the PRP—who had in fact risen to the position of TSP intelligence director herself. The PRP has consistently warped and twisted the truth to their own benefit and/or to the detriment of their “rivals.” This admission of propaganda spreading does not come as a surprise other than the shock that they would finally publicly admit they have been waging a war of propaganda on us—something Nasicournia has most definitely never reciprocated.

The PRP has desired war on the ADN for quite some time now. Much to their disappointment, we are sure, the ADN will not be dragged into this conflict. Many individual regions, both allies and friends inside of the ADN and out, have pledged their full support to our region, and we do appreciate it. Nasicournia is not the "gateway" to the ADN, and will handle our problems on our own terms.

The longevity of the PRP desire to take on the ADN is ancient, but is also well-evidenced in this statement from April 2005.

If anyone remembers the c1ndy reference, she was a spy busted by the NIA who the PRP claimed we were persecuting. Here we see also that their refutations were nothing other than part of their larger plan to "make us look bad."

In this piece, it is made evident that it was not just The New Duce that had been planning and threatening war against the ADN in the month of April, 2005. The entire lot of them was considering how to go about it even then, although they publicly refuted TND's claim when the ADN Director publicly asked them about it on the PRP forum. They also proceeded to ban ADN members from defending themselves when attacks ensued.

The point of this section is to demonstrate the answer to the question that many are asking..."why would the PRP do this?" Some ask primarily because the reasons are so weak. That is because the reasons presented are simply excuses designed for the sole purpose of executing a plan they have wanted to carry out for ages.

Let it actually be noted that this is a deliberate misrepresentation of the truth. Our Founder drafted this document entirely on her own. There was no "the person," either. The rough raft was presented in a semi-public Nasicournian-Only forum to be revised and reviewed by a large number of Nasicournians. Many people participated in the revisions. One of the people present was Hrmmm, who is a dual resident of the Pacific Army. Everyone who signed the document and additional residents who didn't participated in the discussion and revision process.

A Poetic Conclusion

Some of the readers of this response and the rebuttal presented by the PRP may be astute enough to realize that the PRP rebuttal statement was in response to a version of the draft which was not posted in any of the embassies. This is because one of the spies they sent into Nasicournia, Kaselande (who is also a resident of other regions including the South Pacific and a member of the Grand Assembly of our allies of the West Pacific), was allowed to view the entire discussion, and unfortunately for them relayed information over to the PRP in an inaccurate and/or incomplete fashion, however timely.

Kaselande's spy nation, Timechange, has been in Nasicournia and/or defending for NasiCorps for several weeks now (with the help of another PRP member's UN status), far before the opening of the PA Embassy the night before their announcement. The uncovering of the spy was initially made by Nasicournian Internal Affairs, then confirmed more recently by other sources. TWP officials have been sent full information including hard evidence regarding this bust, and any other region with which Kaselande is affiliated is welcome to request it at any time.

Kaselande was sent in to Nasicournia by the PRP originally under the first subgroup of the PRP Bureau of Pacific Intelligence (BPI), "The Beria Faction," and was then moved to Risellia's subgroup when the PRP decided to oust Gordonel.

Nasicournia is also aware of the placement and in many cases the identities of spies placed in other regions by the PRP BPI. Investigations and interrogations are ongoing at this point in time. Anyone desiring more information on the bust of the spy is welcome to visit the Nasicournia forum.
