On behalf of our friends in
Sober Thought, we would like to discuss the possible union of two, three or four provinces in that country:
*
South Island, consisting of ~3% of the national population, whose capital city is named after the patron saint of Scotland and overrun by a multitude of universities. I think they might drink a beer called Alec Keffers or something like that, too. ;) Note, however, that South Island is joined to North Island (see below) and not the mainland.
*
Braunekuste, consisting of ~3% of the national population, whose three largest cities are named Grandville, Johnstown and Moineville (city of monks), and the population is roughly two thirds anglophone and one third francophone. I think they also don't like being LORDed over.
*
North Island, consisting of ~2% of the national population, whose capital and only city is named after the patron saint of Ireland, the rest residing in peninsular towns and outports. I think the discovery of fossil fuels offshore has improved its economy. :D
*
Potato Island, consisting of <1% of the national population, whose capital and only city is Princetown, named after the county it is located in. I think tourism and potato farming are equally important. :P
Once proponents for all the provinces have been assigned and they have read the background information on the provinces, we can begin debate which will end when advice is given to Sober Thought on which provinces, if any, should be merged.
