Welcome back!!
You're number one in B-ball! :clapping: :clapping:

Glad you made it back - but something is fishy...

It's been over a month - awful long time for your internet to be "disconnected". Not that your personnal business is any of my business. However you were in cabinet at the time - seems highly unlikely that you couldn't use a school computer or an internet cafe to tell someone what was going on, somewhere on along the line in the last 30 days....

I welcome you back but want to tell you: your story doesn't add up to me....

NoFunNinjas - November 29, 2005 11:44 PM (GMT)
i agree, something about your story seems a little strange. but whatever.

welcome back!

As a matter of fact he is in first place and according to how the stats have been added up for his team, it clearly and categoricaly indicates that constant updating of his team was carried out. This is inconsistant with his claim that his internet has been disconected.

After having read hudson bay's initial post I thought you were over reacting. After a closer look It's clear to me that your observations are not unfounded at all. I'd say they are spot on.

A 'better' explaination is required.

Daemon - November 30, 2005 03:50 AM (GMT)
Actually, no explanation is really required, I shouldn't think. You're not accountable to us, really. Maybe it was something personal that really wasn't our business?

But bear in mind that if HB and Canada6 are correct, and you cannot prove them wrong then you abandoned your duties as a Minister without making alternate arrangements, and lied about it. This in my opinion disqualifies you from ever being able to attract my vote, and I will recommend that all other discriminating voters adopt the same attitude. I consider that, without a convincing explanation, that you have just shown contempt for our government and the public.

Ministers have to be held to a higher moral standard than anyone else. Sorry if this seems harsh.

He was the MoDB. If that makes him accountable or not is debatable. I'd like to think so.

Contempt might be too much. I'll advance 'neglect' towards our government and public, as being the proper term.

I'm hoping that there is an explanation, and that this is really just a sad misunderstanding on my part. I absolutely hate jumping to conclusions, allthough I fear I may have allready done that.

canada6 - November 30, 2005 04:22 AM (GMT)
As a matter of fact I have jumped to conclusions. Upon a closer inspection, the team updates I spoke of occured prior to his absense. No updates were made to his basket ball team during the time he says he had no internet connection. It coincides perfectly with what he has stated. I apologise and withdraw my earlier comments.

Btw. Welcome back. :hide:

I mean as a person, he's not. As a Minister he is.

And I'm comfortable saying 'contept'. If the theory that is being proposed is true, it indicates a clear lack of respect for our government processes on his part.

Actually, as a member of the cabinet, he IS accountable to us. And I think we have a right to know the truth.

hudson bay - November 30, 2005 02:22 PM (GMT)
I wasn't calling for another explanation. I was just giving him a heads up that I thought his story was lame in light of the commitment he made to the region. Things do happen but 30 days worth?

I don't really want to drive him away with a lot of pressure for a "better" story. It is what it is, good luck ever getting my vote in the future though.

Y'all, I don't think the ministry is being contested. Welcome back to the region! I'm glad to see you back regardless of what happened.

Yeah, I was thinking about that, but I have a no e-mail policy at my school (highschool) that extands to live chats and unathourized forums. If I was caught on an unathourized site I would loss, computer privaliges. Since I have 2 comp realated courses, it just didn't seem worth the risk
