Princess Sally? I don't think so. Usually in Hyrule, Sonic the Hedgehog comes and goes around the loops in "zones" named with strange names like Palmtree Panic and gets all the rings and fights Dr. Eggman and... wait...

Erm... well, the Princess of Hyrule is called Zelda. Princess Sally is someone else, who was in the Sonic the Hedgehog comic books. :P
Bamada is right, the name of the region comes from the Zelda games, though we don't have anything to do with the games, aside from the name, anthem, and regional flag.
