I wanted to take a moment to let you all know that I am going to be taking a leave of absence from Nationstates. I really don't know how long I will be gone, or if I will come back. For a long time now, Nationstates has been an escape for me from my problems, and I think I have come to use it as a crutch...instead of facing real life head on, sometimes I think I come here and just avoid stuff.

Anyway, I have been a lot of places in NS, and I can truly say that this is the greatest region, with the best people...that I have seen. I have felt welcome from day one. Even though some "old friends" from the SP tried to throw me under the bus, you all gave me a chance and made me feel welcome, and let me be a part of something wonderful. So my thanks go out to each and every nation, and person behind the nation.

But there are some specific thanks I have to say....

Chex-thanks for not believing what you were told and giving me the opportunity to be myself and contribute here.

Bweezy-thanks for inviting me here initially...thanks for all the advice, the debates, and just for being you.

Kana Da-thanks for the friendship, for always stepping up at the darkest times and being a friend...for always saying the right thing just when it was needed.

Carb-thanks for the trust and the opportunity to contribute, however little my contribution might have been...it was nice to be involved.

Lizzie-thanks for being my bestest friend. You are the greatest! I love you.

BCC-thanks for the long talks, for your sense of humor, the hot chocolate and the dance. I will always cherish it.....

Parrrrtay-Thank you for being my friend. For listening to more than you should have had to.....for putting up with me and believing in me and giving me a second chance which I did not deserve. There is a little place in my heart with your name on it and you may not know it, but you have changed my life in a good way. Thank You!

There are others, I just can't think of everything I want to say right now. But to all of Canada, I am proud to say that this was "my home". The Ravenous Maneaters of Liarg will stay in Canada in vacation mode, and will support Chex to the end. If I get my stuff straightened out, maybe I will come back. If not, it was a great ride and it could not have ended in a better place.

I know all too well about real life issues and internet escape areas. I do the same myself and should probably take control of that myself.

Anyways, Liarg, I just wanted to say that while you look up to others here, let it be known that there are relative noobies (like myself) that may have saw stuff you said on the boards that made them want to stay here.

I know that would be the case for me. You're right - this is the best Region around IMHO and the people here are simply astounding (save a few of course, but that is what makes life interesting). But simply, you are one of the reasons that I decided to stay here. Your posts interested me and I was happy to see someone else that seemed to share the same kind of mindset that I do.

Sorry to see you go and I can only hope to see you back some time soon. If that is not the case ... fair thee well. Let your journey down lifes twisting paths be most rewarding and knowledgeable.

I will always cherish every memory we ever made in all the regions we traveled to...

I am making my 2500 th post here in Canada. Will it be my last? My heart tells me "NO", but we never really know, do we? Thanks to all who have posted above, it means a lot to me. And again, thanks to everyone in Canada, because each individual nation and person is a part of what makes Canada so unique and special. I will miss you all greatly, and think about you often.....

Hopefully we will all meet again one day, and until then:

I have come to the conclusion that, as much as I need to reconcile some stuff in my personal life, my absence from Canada was making me even more miserable than the issues faced because of being here all the time. So, I will be around from time to tome. Not with the frequency or regularity of my past activity, but enough to keep up with whats up and to stay in touch. I guess I did not realize what a big part the relationships I have made here play in my RL, and the outlet that I have here to let go of some stress. At any rate, it is nice to be home after a short absence.

Damn - just as I was catching up to you in the post count, you come back.
