Title: I got a Bullwinkle!
Description: What the heck is that?
Boreal Tundra - October 7, 2005 02:38 AM (GMT)
OK, I got an easter egg for 421 posts... What is the connection between Bullwinkle and 421?
420_Celebrants - October 7, 2005 06:25 AM (GMT)
I wondered that myself. I think Bullwinkle is funny after smoking a 4:20 J or something?
I'll have to try it some day and report back.

I've empirically tested that.
Conclusion: there seems to be a strong statistical correlation between THC and humour. Some of colleagues have complained that there weren't enough samples in my study to fully warrant the conclusion. There are plans for an extended study with more participants at a later date.
I'm nothing if not rigourous.
Jack_Tarr - October 7, 2005 03:12 PM (GMT)
After many many years of personally studying the long and short term effects of THC, I believe the following is the only possible conclusions. The Bullwinkle is there do to your similarities to Boris Baddenov. IE Man in Black. Therefore, Moose is there to protect all the Squirrils that hang around these boards.
Please direct any future questions on this subject to our mistress of CraZy, parrrrtay. :fonz:

And the connection to the number 421 is...?
hudson bay - October 7, 2005 08:16 PM (GMT)
Some of the numbers selected had more to do with distributing the easter eggs in an interesting way than a tight committment to some "higher" meaning. It is possible that there might have had been a glass of wine on hand while organizing the easter eggs :P
j delight - October 7, 2005 11:09 PM (GMT)
oh no no, my friends... there is a method to this madness - but what does the pip look like?
Meheheheheheheh.....
(wait! I know what the pip lookies like - i collected it. someone told me it was for april 21st but it might have been JT that told me... )
hudson bay - October 7, 2005 11:20 PM (GMT)

420 - that is volunteerism at its best! Go you!
HB - I changed because I was running out of room for the pips and because I fell in love with Almo's fractal art.
I still have them - almost all of them - up to the Rush one.

I am just sure this is the place to ask this question...hmmmm.
Will someone tell me what this is:
bweezy - October 21, 2005 07:05 PM (GMT)
It looks like three ships. Did you perhaps get that pip for post no. 1492?

It is a medieval postage stamp depicting an invading armada.
hudson bay - October 21, 2005 07:10 PM (GMT)
Jacques Cartier arrives in present day Canada to plant a cross on the Gaspé Peninsula. I wonder what year that might have been? (no it wasn't 1492 :P )
bweezy - October 21, 2005 07:23 PM (GMT)
1534. However, did he have three ships?
hudson bay - October 21, 2005 07:40 PM (GMT)
According to
this he had two ships. A bit disturbed about the part were the indians were friendly allowing him to kidnap two of them and take them back to France. Weren't those Europeans nice? :eyebrow:
The
wiki says he had three ships when he returned the next year.
king_girl - October 21, 2005 08:11 PM (GMT)
ahhhhh *hits hand against head and says "doh"*
hudson bay - October 21, 2005 08:26 PM (GMT)
No big deal - this is one of only a few easter eggs that have a historical meaning to the post count.
