Although I can't go into specific details, I can vouch for the incredible amount of work that Carb has done over the last term to safeguard Canada and to investigate any reports of threats.

Go, Carb! Go, Carb!

Keep up the good work Carb.
Nice list of goals but two of them I don't understand:
# 2 sounds like a MoJ function
# 4 Don't see how a embassy could even get considered if it is a threat to security.
Also with #8 are we expecting more inter-regional events in the near future?

I feel that Carbanousa has been a great asset to this region. His work has been of vital importance. Continuity would be a blessing.

#2 While the application is a MoJ function, developing general guidelines is a cabinet responsibility. This is why you should be on cabinet because of your outspoken-ness.
#4 As MoFA, I have contacted a variety of regions to determine whether we should pursue diplomatic relations. Not always is it appropriate that we establish formal relations, and in those cases the exchange of information betwen MoFA and MoD becomes important.
#8 I suspect there will be quite a few conferences in the future, although I'm not sure how many we will initiate.

True, but it's something I feel would be like the icing on the cake to what is an outstanding legislature and would like to be involved from the outset.

Sometimes face-value can be a bit decieving and a little extra dirt-digging can help inform the Minister of Foreign Affairs on the type of dialogue / relationshipi ;).

I'd like to hope so. It's often a good way to catch tid-bits to follow up.

I am personally horrified to be equated with anyone in the current US administration.

Have you read the talk page for that article? A lot of controversy there.
