Description: Test

The Gullibility Factor test

Your GF score is 82.
(Out of a range of 0 - 100, where 0 = mind slave, and 100 = free thinker.)

Free Thinker
Welcome to the top 5%. You're a true free thinker and a person who is well informed about the reality in which you live. Although you may have been easily manipulated earlier in life, you eventually gained lucidity and developed a healthy sense of skepticism that you now automatically apply to your observations and experiences. You are endlessly curious about human behavior and the nature of the universe, and you have one or more lifestyle habits that most people would consider odd or unusual. You are not only of very high intelligence, you are also extremely creative in one or more areas (music, art, software development, inventing, etc.)
If you were in The Matrix, you would have taken the red pill, completed the combat training, and started fighting (and beating) agents from day one.

Your architects: You have cast off reality distortions taught to you by your parents, schooling, corporate advertising and government propaganda. You create your own beliefs based on what serves you best, without much regard for what the rest of the crowd is doing. You are guided by your own internal code of ethics (which may or may not agree with politically-correct ethical codes) rather than any pre-set system of ethics (such as from any one religion).

Gosstoepia - September 12, 2005 10:51 PM (GMT)
I scored a 52

Learner
As a Learner, you're smart enough to know better, yet you're still not fully informed about reality. Around 15% of the population are Learners. You have the critical thinking skills to be a truly free individual, but you haven't exercised them enough yet. From time to time, you're still manipulated by the powers that be, although you frequently learn from those mistakes and refuse to be exploited again. You buy things because they are practical, not because they're cool.
If you were in The Matrix, you would have taken the red pill, but you would still be in a state of mild disbelief about the nature of reality. You are essentially unplugged, but still untrained. With more knowledge, you could become a true free thinker.

Your architects: You have always been an independent thinker. You rebelled against your parents, schoolteachers and always chose to hang out with smart friends who weren't necessarily that popular to the "in" crowd. Increasingly, you shape your own world by deciding what actions to take based on your own internal drive rather than what society tells you is right.

Action steps: Learn more. Educate yourself through alternative media and cutting-edge books. Read the answers below to get started.

That's me, the complusive thinker.

I'm not gullible enough to believe everything I read on internet tests that claim to give the accurate truth.

Yeah - you're too smart for that! :P

I really wouldn't say i'm skeptical but rather, just a very compative person who always takes the opposite side when someone states an opinion.

And now that i've read a bit on the site which made this, i'm sure this test really means nothing. Considering that they praise Kevin Trudeau Natural Causes(which has alot of question marks surrounding his past, particularly charges of fraud and money laundering in his past, all of which i'm sure is completely behind him) Frankly I guess I can be considered a skeptic since I'm not inclined to believe much on this website of pseudo news that's really just conspiracy theory.

You're not saying you are contrary for the sake of being contrary, are you?

That's one way of looking at it I suppose. My problem however is that most people I know don't look at the opposite side of the fence so, when they present some sort of argument and everybody agress with it, I disagree and will argue endlessly about it.

Almonaster - September 13, 2005 01:18 AM (GMT)
I got 88 - but then you know I'm a sceptic. I'm also not exposed to as much US propaganda.

I also have doubts about some of their answers. They clearly do not understand energy generation terribly well, for instance.

Spoiler warning

first try: learner
second try (whereby I didn't read any statements I just clicked all the false buttons): free thinker

does this seem a tad odd to anyone else?

Not really, as the website to me seems to be made of various conspiracy theories that have little to no elements of what some people call, "the truth". In fact when i was answering, I considered just answering false to all of the questions, but alas, I did not.

Their arithmetic is on a par with the rest of it, methinks.

We are the top 5% least gullible region?

Something about their numbers seems fishy, although I suppose that just serves as further proof in that we would question their numbers.

And if you believe all of this, I have a bridge going across the Penobscot river that I can get you a great deal on.

Judith Gap - September 14, 2005 03:21 PM (GMT)
JT, those bridges are far too rusty, at least the ones in Bangor and Milford that I'm thinking of.

Jack_Tarr - September 14, 2005 03:27 PM (GMT)
JG, you drive a hard bargain but I'll throw in a paint job at no extra cost to you. Now what else do I have to do to put you on that bridge TODAY? :fonz:

More like the top 20%, unless the rest of the population is so gullible that the top 20% only makes up 5% of people.
