Title: Firefly Islands' Ejection

Checkers McDog - September 5, 2005 04:20 PM (GMT)
The nation Firefly Islands has been ejected from the region, and shall remain on our region's ban list for a period of 30 days.

Firefly Islands had sent out this telegram to me, and other UN Delegates (with their region replacing the word "Canada"):

QUOTE (Firefly Islands)
To The Rulers of Canada.

I am messaging you on behalf of the region of Deus ex machina and the founder, Valiturus.

We do not want to make this hard for anyone so please comply with our requests. First hand over this region to Deus ex machina. TG half of your members to migrate to Deus ex Machina.

Second, we will be sending a brigade over to sieze the delegacy, please do not make this hard and boot your delegate so we may control some of your affairs.

We hope for this to be a peaceful transition of power. If you have any questions please TG Valiturus.

Sincerely,
DEM

Firefly Islands has violated sections 1b, 2d, and 2e of the Canadian Ejection and Board Suspension Guidelines.

1b: Where the nation has posted or private messaged “spam”
2d: using Canada as a hidden base of operations for an invasion without authorization
2e: participation in an enemy invasion of the region of Canada that is not an immediate threat to the security of the region

Firefly Islands has been contacted and is aware of their right to request a hearing into the matter.

If anyone has any questions, please post them in the House of Commons.

That is seriously weird

NS has tortured the word "spam" beyond any real meaning. However, nitpicking about including that charge is a minor critique.

Good job Chex. I'm sure that the MoD will make sure that someone is keeping an eye on this nut job for a while.

Do we know who Valiturus is? Have you heard anything from any of the other regions that received this message?

Yes. Right after I received that telegram from Firefly Islands, I got one from The Bruce (UN Delegate of Wysteria), that alerted me to the fact that FI was sending out this telegram and giving Canada a bad name.

All I know is that Valiturus is the founder of Deus Ex Machina, a region of about 50 nations.

Looking at their RMB I'd say that DEM has delusions of grandeur about becoming a another DEN. ^_^

iWonder how many ppl they have out TGing (note les long)? nuthin on the NS moderation thread yet.

I'm of the opinion that giving these guys too much attention only encourages them...

I believe that the best course of action is the one that has been taken by our PM.

Beaver-Country-Canada - September 5, 2005 06:33 PM (GMT)

What a nut! Kudos to you, Chex!

mavenu - September 6, 2005 05:11 AM (GMT)
iThink FI might have been deeted...his name's in black on the canada regional happenings.

Genkuta - September 6, 2005 06:08 AM (GMT)
Quite bold, and quite rude.

Almonaster - September 6, 2005 06:11 PM (GMT)
I passed on the news to one or two people who talk to the mods on a regular basis. I'm sure I wasn't the only one!

What a loser.

Daemon - September 7, 2005 03:34 AM (GMT)
Shoot! This sounds serious.

...do I get to stay, or should I start moving my nations?

Judith Gap - September 7, 2005 12:12 PM (GMT)
I'm not sure about your citizens Daemon, but mine are stockpiling basic supplies just in case. They are also appealing to our goddess a bit more for direct intervention.

LOL

There is no need for alarm. :Canada:

We too are stocking up on the staples:

Hamhocks and cornmeal, gunpowder and guitar strings.....

I deeply resent Sparta's latest remarks on Canada's regional nationstates page. A new low for lack of common sense has been found.

hudson bay - September 8, 2005 11:12 AM (GMT)
Just when you think you have seen the bottom someone can always take things lower

I have the feeling that Sparta thinks that if he gets ejected he is some how a martyr. All getting ejected means is that you broke the rules, it doesn't make you special.
