Greetings Citizens of Texas!

It is our great pleasure to announce that Texas has entered into an informal diplomatic relationship with The Great Region of Canada. This is not an expansion to The Triumvirate, but is more of a Mutual Cultural Pact with the esteemed Region of Canada! Their esteemed diplomat and Minister of Foreign Affairs, The Theocracy of Judith Gap, has been an excellent visitor on our offsite forum for about a month now and has been very nice and patient while we decided whether to enter this agreement. As well as sharing cultural and fun things, we have both agree to defend each other should the case ever arise. However Canada, like Texas, is one of the oldest regions in all of NationStates. They were here when we arrived in early January, 2003. And have only had less than a half a dozen Delegates in that time. They are a very large and stable region, much like Texas. We are confidant that this is going to be a mutually beneficial arrangement.

Canada is a lovely region and we encourage everyone to check them out and feel free to vacation there if you are looking for almost anything from wide expanses of nature to bustling cities, scenic lakes and beautiful coasts on both ends of the continent! Be sure and stop by the Texas Canadian Consulate on the offsite forum and greet Judith Gap who will also serve as their Consul to Texas!

We are also very pleased to announce that Consul Cal of The Republic of Rootin Tootin Cactus is moving to Canada to represent Texas there. Consul Cal is the twin brother of our own Texan, President Cal of The Federation of Ukroatia, currently our Secretary of Regional Security. We hope you all congratulate him on his appointment and wish him the best.

Howdy Friends to the North

Regions as old as ours should have gone fishing a while ago. All this means now is that we have drinks to catch up on. We…uhm brought some Lone Star and Shiner for everyone. And from Texas, some fresh Huevos Rancheros con Queso. Which wouldn’t be complete without some Texas Pete tabasco sauce.

This definitely is cause for celebration. We have some great head of states to thank for this.
