I also meant to ask Al for a Friday fractal avatar.

Al could you cook up something that either uses the colors of my exisitng avatar or makes you think of the tall trees along the bay?

I'm looking for something in red, yellow, orange, and green in a leaf's vein sort of pattern.

I had a bit of a time getting the avatar under 25K. Nice error message by the way - the site keep telling me it was the wrong file type. Took a couple of tries before I figured out what it really didn't like was the file size.

Ah - apologies. I generally render on the large side to maximise detail. I'll try to remember the 25 K limit in future.

You can just use them as web-linked images, just quote my post and you'll see the URLs in the [ img ] tags.

No worries. If the site had given me the proper error I woundn't have even mentioned it.

For me saving it as a JPEG was most efficient, though I did have to shrink it down a bit. Just thought I'd bring it up in case someone else has a problem.

I was actually going to suggest that only Fridays with an odd date be considered Fractal Fridays. This gives a nicely chaotic distribution. It also means they don't come round quite so often.


Next FF would then be the 19th.

How would that get added to the calendar?
