Title: Open Office
Description: Suggestions and Comments

Welcome to a new term.

I'd like to thank everyone who voted in the region and to the other candidates who ran for this office. I was honoured just to be in your company.

I'd like to open this thread as a way for you to have direct contact with me in this new position. You can contact me in several different ways. The PM feature is most effective. Also, I am frequently available in the region's chatroom. I am also infrequently available through IM.
  • If you are interested in serving as an ambassador, the Ambassadorial Job Link is where you should post.
  • If you have other suggestions of regions Canada should communicate with, please feel free to start a new thread in the forum.
  • If you are a visiting dignitary, welcome! You can post embassy requests in this forum as well.

During the coming term, I will be attempting to make Canada one of the more influential regions in NS, but I will need your suggestions on how to do that. Hopefully, this thread will do that. The CDR proposal is a good start, and I hope you will help shape that proposal. I hope we will develop other proposals as well.

I look forward to working for you,
Judith Gap

During the last term, this thread was empty. Once again, however, I'm encouraging you to post your suggestions of things we as a region might do this term.

Goals
[1] We've just gone through a period of growth in terms of contacting new regions and establishing new embassies. I think that now is the time to improve the existing relationships that we have.
[2] Seek out democratic regions with which we could establish important social and strategic relationships. (Wysteria, Hyrule, International Democratic Union, and Europe are a few examples)
[3] Establish and participate in more inter-regional conferences.
[4] Make Canada's name a stronger presence in the NS forums.
[5] Provide the region, if it is interested, in a digest of what is going on in regions with whom we are not in a formal diplomatic relationship

If you have suggestions on how to achieve the above goals, I'm willing to consider any and all proposals.
