Well, we have a lot of folks from the USA on these forums these days--what all are you doing today?
I don't have any plans today, but last night I went out to a local fireworks show--one of very few in the area last night. The big downtown display (referred to as "Red, White and Boom" and one of the largest in the nation) went off July 1st--for some reason they always do it the last weekday *before* the 4th. Obviously I was out of town at the wedding so I missed it.

I've gone downtown for the show maybe three times in my lifetime--it's a really nice view from the riverfront, but it gets a little annoying to try to get out of there when there's 42 million people leaving at the same time. There was a time when I lived relatively close to downtown and would be able to watch a couple blocks from my house. Now, I'm much further away so if anything I'll watch it on TV.

My best friend just had her first baby.
Conner graced us with his presence last Tuesday and I will get to meet him today. :clap:

So it turns out I actually did have plans. There were a greater number of fireworks shows last night than on the third, so I went to one of them--again a fun time was had by all.
