Yes it's true, I am 100 years old today. I've seen this country go through alot, from Sir Wilfred Laurier's Prime Ministership to the current crop of politicians. You know, I remember when Mackenzie King came to my town. It was in the thirties and he was desperate for a drink of water and his train stopped in town which was the closest to the railroad. I also remember the great fire that happened in Shaunavon in the 1926. Half of the downtown core was burnt to the ground course, the Shaunavon hotel wasn't. I remember because I was wearing my patato sack was coming loose(which was the style in those days) and then the mayor of the town came running in with his straw all crumpled up(which was the style in those days). Of course, I immediately put down my whisky, which was the only drink that you could order at the bar in those days. Then, I stepped outside and saw the great fire itself and I shouted to my friend,"hey check out the fire, guess Phil's box social is gonna be ruined tommorow". Then I said to my friend that the world is going to hell in a handbasket............................................................................................................................
