Title: South Pacific Ambassador Request
bweezy - February 2, 2004 06:23 PM (GMT)
I've been contacted by the Monkeybutts, the South Pacific Foreign Affairs Minister. They'd like to officially open up diplomatic contacts by having an exchange of ambassadors. They are aware that we have Boardz in place as our contact, so they'll be sending someone here in the near future to complete the exchange.
I've consented to this for now. They don't want an official alliance or anything. They just want to build on the positive relations that have occurred since the coup attempt and Boardz' subsequent involvement in their region.
In essence, it will be an information exchange and diplomacy gig, which I think is acceptable. This is the sort of arms length diplomacy that I personally favour (and I think others too - I don't want any alliances, but want information exchanges to take place where appropriate so we remain relevant on the international stage)

I am all in favour of that.
So far we have done well. We promise nothing, but we seem help when called upon. Unless we are sure of ourselves I don't think we should go any further than that.
It will be good to see Monkeybutts over here..... ( B) you know what I mean)
.... or who ever they decide to send along.

Hello all,
My name is Corky and I am currently the Secretary of Foreign Affairs for The South Pacific. At this moment I don't have an ambassador to send so I thought I would come over myself and say "hi." If anyone has any questions at all about my "vision" for Canada and The SP just ask I'll be here or ya'll are more then welcome to come over to the SP forums and visit us there. the site is

I like that acronym "sofa" for Secretary of Foreign Affairs. Implies a very laid-back international policy...

Thats one way of looking at it hudson...go ahead and tour the SP and youll see the other way of looking at it...which im fairly certain is what boardz was implying haha
but serioiusly the only thing the SP wants is defensive alliances. no strings attatched if you need us we come if we need you you come. were such a large region that if something happens internally were usually able to do something about it ourselves. but were always willing to help out our friends and we hope we can call Canada friend.

twas a small pun on your name man :)
although I wonder whether it points to a small freudian predilication toward a latent bestial nature in me that hereto had been unknown. I would ask my shrink., but i don't have one. They keep refering me....
....anyway  - welcome aboard man. :D
Its will be good to have a single point of contact to pass things along to the SP. I have tried to pick out the most appropriate people to talk to about the various things we have wanted to bring to your attention, but i haven't wanted to annoy people too much.

I've been honored by our Secretary of Foreign Affairs to be asked to serve as ambassador of the South Pacific region to the fine region of Canada pending your approval. I look forward to being your point of contact and I encourage you to also check out our forum as well. Mutual information exchange and relationship development can only help us all in the long run.

Welcome Aboard. As you already likely know, Boardz is our contact here. We look forward to continuing our fine relations with your region.
