The past week has been a busy time for USK members with so much happening in such a short time, this was not helped by the fact that many members were on holiday recently which slowed everything down.
The first major event was USK's still-born attempt to join the ADN, this was attempted by the Chief Diplomat Revolutionary Masses and the USK General Crazy Horses IV who mistakenly forgot to consult the supreme court on the matter. When informed of the actions taken a quick vote was taken in the supreme court who decided that ADN membership at this time was not in USK's interests, this resulted in USK having to withdraw its application. Although the event caused much strife for USK we did gain an embassy out of it at the ADN as well as the opinion that we should work in closer co-operation with the ADN although we are only allied to them through the RLA.
The second major event was the liberation of Palestine, for a long time Palestine had been held under the oppressive regime of Great Britain & Ireland. After several failed attempts and much discussion an all out attempt was planned after an initial MSN chat by the USK members Didgeridoos and Crazy Horses IV. With USK member The Mighty Pump (after technical difficulties) taking the lead a massive combination of USK's, RLA, ADN and various other friendly forces marched into Palestine. It was an epic fight with large numbers of forces on either side got involved. A big shock for the liberating forces was when the UoS came in to help the colonial forces but thankfully we prevailed with the final result being 102 to 82. Palestine is now liberated and free to choose its own path.

The final event is that USK has finally left the ABI, as GB&I was also an ABI member we could not attack Palestine and still be an ABI member (this problem had occured before). After much soul searching we had to do the right thing, just as the attack on Palestine began a message was sent to ABI via our embassy there informing them of our decision. This caught GB&I off guard and in their haste they have also left the ABI, so a double victory over GB&I can be claimed, not only have we liberated Palestine from GB&I we also inadvertantly managed to liberate ABI from them as well! Best wishes to our friends who are still in the ABI, we hope we can keep in touch.
On the home front, firstly congratulations to the new USK living room moderator Arashima and commiserations to Steel Penguin, it was a close run vote with many USK members torn between the two, this was probably why so many abstained.
Also Crazy Horses IV and Simple Existance were elected Deputy Diplomat and Ambassador respectively to help Revolutionary Masses with the diplomatic workload and to improve our embassies.
We are currently planning a massive revamp of the USK forum to make it more democratic and open, so fingers crossed it works out.
