on behalf of the TSP SoFA, the March 17/05 update.

The South Pacific Update

The South Pacific contains 7,382 Nations.

Our current UN Delegate is The Rootinest Tootinest Shindig of Caer Rialis.

The South Pacific voted for the Universal Library Coalition.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

- Implied Mercenaries has stated his intention to run for delegacy. It is unsure yet as to was his/her plans are. Hopefully we can shed some more light on this soon.

-Papapatagonia, also known as Atag, will join the Elections Commission, and fill the third open position. The appointment of Atag means that all vacancies in the commission are filled, freeing the path for a new round of elections.

- A statement has been released to The North Pacific.

QUOTE
We, the government of the South Pacific, would like to express our heartfelt sadness over the continued hostilities between the North Pacific Directorate and the North Pacific Underground. For the last few months, we have watched and participated in talks between the two parties. Although, we are still hopeful that there will be a peaceful resolution we are unable to recognize the North Pacific Directorate or the North Pacific Underground as the legitimate governing bodies of the North Pacific. It is our hope that once a resolution is worked out between these two parties, and they alone, that we will renew our friendship with some of our oldest allies.

If however, both parties seek our help during the negotiation process we are more than willing and capable to lend a helpful hand. As our friends go through this difficult process, we ask that other nations and regions join with us in allowing the negotiation process to run its course and allow this great region to chart its own course.

- Fudgie has submitted two new bills. A Vice-Delegate Law, and The Law of succession. Both bills are currently up for debate by the public.

- King J and his SPFA/Soccer league is looking to start up a championship league including other regions. If your interested, he can be contacted for any information.

General Updates:

- Market Street businesses continue to flourish. Fudge's Coffee Shop always seems to only have a couple seats open at any given time. And Kein Arber's Knapsack continues to sell the best baked goods we've ever had.

- Our enter If you Dare forum is always a bustle of activity. Although, I warn you, you'll need an umbrella and armor if you enter the "Hit the above poster" thread.
