Title: BCC FOR MINISTRY
Description: As always, here I am!

Beaver-Country-Canada - February 18, 2005 01:42 AM (GMT)
Bonjour, mes amis, les francais et les anglais!

Hello again! What a good term this has been, eh? I certainly enjoyed it! What I'm prepared to do for you for the next term is a lot of fun:

--> a possible meeting of some ambassadors from some/all of our embassies (whomever wishes to participate)
--> a whole new look for my office (I'm redecorating!)
and --> having fun jobs available (seeing as mine is the most fun!)

This term was a great success, and as long as I've been here, there hasn't been a really unsuccessful term. So get with it! VOTE BCC FOR THE MINISTRY OF FOREIGN AFFAIRS!

If you have any questions, I will be extremely pleased to answer them!

How do you feel that our policies that effect embassy creation have had a positive effect on our region? Do you think that this can be improved?

Beaver-Country-Canada - February 19, 2005 03:00 PM (GMT)
Our policies allow us to accept most medium to large sized nations. We get to meet new nations a lot, new people, and this diversifies our culture even more. I think its excellent.

(please refer to the REMO STAR post for additional comments made, and I would like your opinion on some of the issues this term BCC)

My main concerns are
1. More active forumers from those of the region, and more active UN members in the region
2. Recruiting less fleeting individuals who would like to stay and grow into the region
3. Less inactive "coverletter" embassies and more active relations with embassies that already exist.

I think now is the time that creating new embassies is a big mistake. I think it's first time to create a larger job base within the community of nations in this region by active recruiting drives, and pushes for joining the forum, and then work on strengthening our current embassies, before persuing others. Again I have no problem when cabinet debates the offers to us from other regions, but I think it is a big mistake right now to actively seek regions to develop relations with ourselves.

I think if nobody can properly adress my concerns or changes their campaign direction in this election, I will abstain from voting for FA this term.

You can still count on me to vote for someone. I'd rather have an MFA who tries and fails than have no MFA at all. I commend both candidates for running. It takes courage to take on a job such as this one. We can all learn from your examples.

I will answer your concerns tomorrow, Popo. I need time to consider them. Thanks,

For the last little while, Popo, we haven't sought any new embassies -- they came to us. We're very popular right now, and while we do have many embassies, we are a very strong country, and we are willing to tie in with other strong countries.

I have been pushing our embassies to be more active, but the more you push some people, the more they run away, and while I'd love to see our embassies active and full of questions and fun, just like the Water Cooler, some things just weren't meant to be, and some regions are just too busy sometimes. So, we continue to post in their embassies, and we hope they'll remember their regional happenings as well! It isn't a perfect world, unfortunately.

As for not voting, if you don't vote, you don't have an opinion, so you cannot complain if you think a bad MoFA wins, Popo. Use your voting rights wisely, not stupidly.
