Title: Worlds fair.
Description: Do we want to participate?

Almonaster - January 24, 2005 10:35 PM (GMT)
I don't know if we've had a formal invite, but I don't think its necessary. The East Pacific are organising this...

Hey you guys should really set up a Pavilion at the worlds fair,

http://s6.invisionfree.com/NS_Worlds_Fair/index.php

we would love to have you and it would be a great place to show off your region.

Loop

(quote from TPC invite).

What do you think, guys?

Checkers McDog - January 24, 2005 11:04 PM (GMT)
What would it entail?.....Like what would we have to do?

Baribeau - January 24, 2005 11:53 PM (GMT)
I think it is a good idea to participate.

If I'm not mistaken, the worlds fair would give us a forum on TEP's boards, from which we would set up booths with information about our culture, our government, our members, etc.

Daemon - January 25, 2005 12:00 AM (GMT)
We can also give out maple walnut ice cream cones, in honour of their 1940 World's Fair invention.

Ess - January 25, 2005 12:39 AM (GMT)
And lots of Canadian beer! :D

MrPopo - January 25, 2005 01:52 AM (GMT)
Im down with the worlds fair. It would give us a chance to mingle with other regions, and possibly recruit from TEP without having to actually "recruit". And I could streak.

We could prepare an ultimate ambassadors report. In it we could include a little factoid or two about everyone (who wants to be on the list) active on our forums, and what they have brought with them to the region. We could also include some RL canadiana, some topics about world issues that have been popular here in the last year or so, a brief synopsis of our history of this region, and a few clippings of some famous posts from this region.

But he will do anyway Ess...

kana da - January 25, 2005 04:50 PM (GMT)
He'd better not, or I'll turn down the heat.

Ess - January 25, 2005 04:54 PM (GMT)
Shrinkage!

kana da - January 25, 2005 04:55 PM (GMT)
That's not really what I meant.

Ess - January 25, 2005 04:57 PM (GMT)
lol!

I know!

I couldn't help it! :P :D

kana da - January 25, 2005 04:59 PM (GMT)
Tsk tsk.

I'd send you to bed with no supper, but being as you're my mom, instead of the other way around, I can't.

Ess - January 25, 2005 05:04 PM (GMT)
Sometimes moms are bratty, too! ^_^

kana da - January 25, 2005 05:05 PM (GMT)
But then who sends them to their room?

Ess - January 25, 2005 05:07 PM (GMT)
Well, that's the good thing about being a mom.
You can't be sent to your room and you can ruin your dinner if you like! :D

kana da - January 25, 2005 05:08 PM (GMT)
Hmm. . .

*kidnaps a child from the library*

Now I'm a mom!

Ess - January 25, 2005 05:08 PM (GMT)
Now you're on the run from the law! :ph43r:

kana da - January 25, 2005 05:09 PM (GMT)
Well, how else am I supposed to get a child?

(don't answer that)

Ess - January 25, 2005 05:10 PM (GMT)

kana da - January 25, 2005 05:11 PM (GMT)
Now that I think about it, I don't have to be on the run from the law.

*frames MrPopo* :P

Really?

Of course! They're cheap too.

:P

Boreal Tundra - January 26, 2005 01:28 AM (GMT)
The initial purchase price is very economical, it's the long term maintenance that get's rather expensive.

Thanks, Popo, I'm officially blind.

What does that mean?

*shield's daughter's eyes*

Redundancies - January 26, 2005 04:26 PM (GMT)
Maybe he means "Word *to* your mother", like from the Vanilla Ice song.

You remember, kids, that white rapper from the early 90's...

kana da - January 26, 2005 04:28 PM (GMT)
Put your coats on, everyone.

*turns down the heat to a very chilly zero degrees*

*starts giving her child ice cream*

**whacks everyone except KD with a cricket bat**
Stop hijacking this thread. :P

So, are we going to do this fair thing or not?

Daemon - January 26, 2005 08:51 PM (GMT)
I started a strictly business thread in the House of Commons. I think that that is maybe a better place to discuss it. Plus we can bring the current government to task for their rampant overspending and the MoFA's "Strippergate" scandal

kana da - January 27, 2005 04:09 PM (GMT)
Aw, thanks OF. I always know you'll take care of me.

before reading this thread I had already hijacked the other one. I'm so sorry

Daemon - January 28, 2005 01:32 PM (GMT)
Good gravy man. Isn't there ONE thread where you can keep your accursed pants on!?

Mr. B - January 28, 2005 02:22 PM (GMT)
I hear ya Deamon. Its a plague, an affliction!
But then again, if P's pants really are cursed, I don't blame him for trying to get rid of 'em.

Mr. B - January 28, 2005 02:29 PM (GMT)
Heh, I can't stop picturing Popo running around uncontrollably in his P-Pants, swatting at his own ass yelling "Get them off me, Get them off me!!! Make the Demon voices stop!!!!!"

Oilers Fans - January 28, 2005 05:49 PM (GMT)
You are a sick person. :P Have I told you that lately?
