Title: Vote Redundancies for MoDB
Redundancies - December 15, 2004 07:17 PM (GMT)
I hereby submit my nomination for Minister of Doughnuts and Beer.
As the interim MoDB, I believe I have fulfilled the needs of the position well and hope to continue to serve the region.
Despite not being a native Canadian, I feel I am Canadian in spirit and hold the same goal as any MoDB would--to make sure this region remains true to its roots and is defined by Canadian culture.
Feel free to ask me any questions.

What's your favorite beer? and get you get us any free samples?

Hi Red, gl on your running.
I am hoping to see more interest and interaction among the populace when it comes to this department. The position requires a post per week regarding our culture, but could you think of anyway to have the us citizen's involved in the process, rather than simply reading facts? Perhaps something along the lines of quizzes, contests, games, weekly "beer appreciation" discussions, etc?
and of course, free beer samples would be even better!
Thanks

I encourage the replying to posts in the Canadiana thread--that is the level of interactivity we've attatined so far. I have also noticed others contributing with facts of their own, which is a nice touch. When I was a citizen I did the same thing if it was related to something I knew. Additionally... (see below)

These are fantastic ideas. I have added a game to the Arcade, and that's part of the duties, so that's gotten started, but I will certainly consider how to add things such as this to the forums.

Since this is a virtual society, the best I can do is 7692 bottles of virtual beer.
*hands them out*
Enjoy...

Great! So you should be happy with my virtual vote!
kana da - December 15, 2004 10:02 PM (GMT)
Well, being as there's no paper or pencil, I would say that if you vote for him in the election, it will be a virtual vote.
Now, what to do with my beer. . .

funny I should stumble into a form in which beer is being discussed, I'm drinking one right now. Ah, Brewhouse, I think we might have a champion for beer of the Week in SS's world.
Brewhouse, "brewed exclusively in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada

We've got plenty--a big batch of Tim Horton's on that table there, one of Krispy Kreme on that one there, and some from various smaller retailers on that table there.
