Title: This One's for You

Monkeydee - November 21, 2004 12:54 AM (GMT)
bweezy: it is my firm opinion that you are an ass!!!!

bweezy - November 21, 2004 01:03 AM (GMT)
I see my fan club is growing.

hudson bay - November 21, 2004 01:30 AM (GMT)
They have one post and it's straight to the point.

It's my firm opinion that you must be doing something right. :D

I'm been thinking of adding to my signature: "0 death threats but I'm trying"

bweezy - November 21, 2004 01:32 AM (GMT)
lol :)

I noticed that. After ten months here, they've come to the same opinon that so many others have arrived at (but few have so boldly stated...) :)

hudson bay - November 21, 2004 01:36 AM (GMT)
Whoa - I didn't notice that they have been in the forum so long. That makes it even funnier. And you are right, give them credit for speaking their mind.

I wonder if this opinion was do to something that happened recently or has it been building over time...

bweezy - November 21, 2004 01:39 AM (GMT)
I'm fairly certain it's something that started building in September, waned off abruptly, and then restarted. Though, I could be wrong.

hudson bay - November 21, 2004 01:42 AM (GMT)
What happened in September (remember I was retired living on my yacht at the time)?

In order for anyone to remember you, you have to actually threaten him.

I won't say much more. But lets just say I've been debating with someone over the past few months, and it started in September.

Monkeydee - November 21, 2004 05:27 PM (GMT)
these responses aren't exactly what i expected

i had a running bet with a real world friend of mine to come on here, call bweezy an ass, and then call you all losers for giving very long speaches like some of you seem to like to do.

i would like to take this opportunity to appologise to bweezy for any hurt feelings. as well i would like to appologise to checkers for horribly breaking the rules.

no hard feelings guys
please resume your normal daily activities

Oilers Fans - November 21, 2004 08:37 PM (GMT)
I see.

Carbanousa - November 21, 2004 09:24 PM (GMT)
An experiment, of sorts.

hudson bay - November 22, 2004 12:33 AM (GMT)
Kind of a back-handed compliment...

Carbanousa - November 22, 2004 11:11 AM (GMT)
Not at all if you were referring to my post HB. The bait was given and it was taken. Very straight forward and to the point. Perhaps this is a good thing as it shows a willingness to discuss and be challenged at more than a tokenistic level. It shows an ability to be critical of oneself and others, yet maintain an intellectual discourse that is still relevant. I personally think that this is one of Canada's most important virtues as it shows both desire and affirmitive action in non-complacency meaning that the Region (or country) is always seeking self-improvement.

If my tone was percieved tersely, I can only apologise. It was more an observational statement based on available fact.

Good work Monkeedee. [<thumb's up>]

as of right now i'm just kind of baby-sitting this thread. Although i may, as i have in other web forums, decide to stay and become a contributing member.

cheers,
