Title: Redundancies for MoRA
Description: Tossing my hat in...
Redundancies - October 6, 2004 02:34 PM (GMT)
I hereby announce my intention to run for Minister of Regional Affairs.
Though I do not have any prior experience in NS government, I feel I have a strong background which will allow me to fulfill my duties. As a particpant in the Plebiland Hockey Cup and the 2004 Regional Summer Olympics, I kept track of various data and communicated it to the other participants.
If elected, I pledge to uphold the Consitution of Canada and do everything in my power to keep the citizens of Canada informed on all major happenings. I will also ensure that I collect and analyze everyone's opinion on regional matters.
Any questions are welcome.

Yes. I'd like to see a mockup of a cabinet report. Just so I know what to expect from you, literary-wise. If you could do this that would be great. After that, I would like you to point out the differences in your mockup and a random current cabinet report.
I would also like to know if you intend to ride out me being the RP coordinator until we have a solid system in place.

I hadn't planned on having anyone replace you as RP coordinator. I think it's important to keep continuity within RPing, so you are the one we need until a complete system is developed.
I will work on a cabinet report mockup and present it in my next reply, hopefully tonight.

I believe DH's current format of the Cabinet Report is pretty good, but could use some formatting improvements to increase readability and enhance the viewing experience. An example is below.
Smarch 42nd Cabinet ReportEjection of Sybil_NHL- Oilers Fans alerted Cabinet to a violation of the board rules by Sybil_NHL. The named user spammed the boards with a porn advertisement.
- The Cabinet voted unanimously to eject Sybil_NHL and ban her from the forum for this offense.
Hockey tournament- Micon suggested that the Canada region hold another hockey tournament.
- Carbanousa voiced concern that it was too soon after the previous tournament, and didn't want to saturate the forum with hockey.
- Checkers McDog agreed that this was a viable concern and called for a vote from Cabinet.
- The Cabinet voted to hold off on a tournament for now.
Diplomatic relations with Easily Amused- Checkers McDog informed Cabinet that she was telegrammed by the regional delegate from Centre for the Easily Amused, asking for an alliance.
- Beaver-Country-Canada wondered what sort of alliance the regional delegate had in mind.
- Checkers McDog stated that she had asked this in a reply, but had not received a second message in the interim.
- The Cabinet decided to table the issue until a reply was received.

"Centre for the Easily Amused", eh? Where do I sign up? B)
Apart from your report-writing skills, what plans do you have for the office? How will electing you make Canada a better place?

The Centre for the Easily Amused is a real region, it's run by a friend of mine. I have a non-UN puppet there (and no one will ever guess what the nation name is!)
The primary purpose of the office is to keep the citizens informed of what the government is doing and the government informed of what the citizens want. Therefore, if elected, I plan to diligently and frequently effect communication between the two groups and keep a finger on the pulse of the region.
Also, I believe I will bring a unique perspective to the government, allowing a different viewpoint to be heard.
