Title: Cancadia for justice
Description: To our fellow Canadians,

Cancadia - October 3, 2004 10:07 PM (GMT)
Greetings and salutations!

With the upcoming election of ministers this month the humble nation of Cancadia would like to apply to the citizens of all Canada's great nations to consider us as a candidate.
Although we are relative newcomers to this region we have a great understanding and dedication to the law and judicial system. As a nation thats main industry is tourism and gambling we are well versed in having to enforce the law and bring about punishment for those who break it. We believe that laws can be opened to interpurtation in times of turmoil and social change but also consider that justice is an absolute. Those who break the law must be brought to trial to stand for their actions and Cancadia is dedicated to ensuring that this is done quickly and fairly.
All offenders will be offered trial and the chance to defend themselves against any charge brought against them.
We at Cancadia hope that you consider our application to the people and welcome any inquiries you have for us.

Regards,
Cancadia

Cancadia has never held a government position in any region before and has in fact never applied for one until now. However our experience in the gambling industry has tempered our abilities to enforce the law in a fair and quick manner. Many different conflicts can arise in this business and much of the time they must be dealt with and resolved in a matter of minutes according to the rules set forth by our gaming policy enforcement branch (GPEB.)
However experience has also brought us the lesson that not everything in the law is black and white and some situations require more thorough investigation and human interpretation.
Thus the enforcement of law takes on a two-fold responsibility.
First, to be sure to deliver punishment to those guilty of breaking the law in a timely and expedient manner. Secondly, to constantly be aware that not all situations requiring justice are simple and thus we must be willing to examine our laws to ensure that they are in the best interests of the region and the citizens within it. Even if this means that re-drafting of current laws or creation of new ones is necessary.

At this time Cancadia feels that the current Canadian constitution is a concise and understandable document, both to those in government and the citizens of the region. We do not believe there are changes needed at this time unless there is a situation caused by, or a citizen concern for the current edition, (ver 1.2,) that we are not aware of.
Although we do not feel the constitution needs amendment at this moment Cancadia will certainly be happy to discuss possible changes to it with any member of government or concerned citizen and then bring that issue before the entire cabinet if deemed worthy of presentation.

Thank you,
Cancadia
