Tactical Decoy system – Transit configuration appears as very small boat or torpedo. Active configuration appears as large vessel such as destroyer or submarine. Decoy has magnetic field generator, sonar and radar reflection amplifier system and prop/vessel wash noise generators. In addition, sensors can detect nearby sensors (especially targeting sonar) and shut down (“Ghosting”) to vanish temporarily by significantly reducing signature. Range in transit mode 400nm, active mode 100nm with all systems active, may also lurk on bottom in standby mode for up to 2 weeks. Unit is recoverable by launch vessel if within range and/or can carry a lightweight torpedo warhead (from tigerfish) for final attack.
