Title: Vanishing Endorsements
Description: stupid delegate bug *shakes fist*

Checkers McDog - September 27, 2004 11:36 PM (GMT)
Due the to NS delegate screw up yesterday, a lot of the endorsements that I had given others had disappeared. Just wanted to let you know that I don't hate you, and didn't revoke it, but it just disappeared, and I'll try and get it back ASAP. :D

You guys may want to check to see if any endorsements that you gave other nations are still there, and if you experienced a sudden drop in endorsements...well, now you know why. :)

Beaver-Country-Canada - September 27, 2004 11:48 PM (GMT)
Ah! This explains much. I've steadily lost one and two endorsements a day for about a week now.. I was wondering why.

Thanks Chex ^_^

Well actually, this only explains the ones you lost yesterday...

But Canada was rather lucky in a few ways...one, we got our MoD in the delegate's seat, as opposed to other regions that may have gotten an untrustworthy person as delegate (they could have ejected anyone...). And two, I didn't lose that many endorsements (thus weakening our region's defence), I only lost about 5 or less....Sydia in the NP claims to have lost 200.

Beaver-Country-Canada - September 27, 2004 11:57 PM (GMT)
But the NP is exponentially larger than us, correct? It could be based on how many nations are in the region.

I dunno. I'm just glad we got our MoD and life is back to normal! :P

Could be...but still, Sydia lost 40% of his endorsements, I lost less than 5%...Wysteria's delegate (a region smaller than ours) lost 35% of thier endorsements...Canada got a lucky break :D

Beaver-Country-Canada - September 28, 2004 12:18 AM (GMT)
Phew. Lets hope this lucky streak continues!

Unlimited was down to 180 after the glitch but managed to survive. The RR weren't so lucky though they now have a new delegate along with a few other regions.

Bad news for a few people....

It wasn't only me who had their endorsements to others disappear...when going through the UN nations to check if my endorsements are still there, I discovered something...

The only places where my endorsement remained, were on nations that experienced the same thing as me, meaning all those people also had their endorsements to others disappear (I think).

Regardless as to whether the above is true, I've noticed that the following people have also had most of their endorsements to others disappear:

Ess
Blackshear
MrPopo
Bweezy
BCC (I believe)

Sorry to have to break it to you guys. (But I knew something was wrong when all of you weren't endorsing Carb :P )

Ess - September 28, 2004 12:38 AM (GMT)
Thanks, Checkers.

Be right back...

*sigh*

Actually, I only lost two endorsements. I had 41 two days ago, I'm down to 39. Not that it matters much - so long as I have two endorsements so I can submit the occasional UN proposal, I'm a happy camper.

No no, what I meant was, the endorsements that you have given other nations have disappeared. Actually, we (in that above group) seem to have lost the least endorsements overall. Because we retained each others, and everyone elses, while they kept each other's, but lost all of ours.

EDIT: Oh, and Micon should be added to that list as well.

Ok, I see. If you are worthy of an edorsement, and I am not endorsing me, PM or TG me and I'll fix that mistake.

Thx.

I just endorsed approx. 120 nations.

Looks like Carb has the least people to re-endorse.

A lot of the time the only names I saw were Carb's and Checkers, although Checker's name was missing a lot, too.

P.S. I don't think I lost any endorsements.

Carb wasn't effected by it...all his endorsements to other nations have stayed there...but unfortunately he has lost a lot of endorsements. So basically both sides got screwed in some way, some had thier endorsements disappear, others had thier endorsements to other nations disappear.

Oh, and the reason you saw my name some places is that I only partially went through the list to re-endorse people...so far. :)

I'M BACK!
After stupid network problems, I've finally managed to sort them out. Thankfully, I was able to log on at work most of Monday, catch up on the recent happenings, and make sure all was well.
Ess - you're not the only one who had to do that.

I'll third that one. I just spent 1 1/2 hours doing it!

Canada is big

My fingers are cold! But it is done. Thank God!

1.5 hours? You must be kidding me. That's way too long... I think it took me about 45 minutes on a dual ISDN connection. Then again, I did suck the bandwidth dry though. As well as have about 40 browser windows opn all at once...
