Title: Question about events in the South Pacific

bweezy - September 20, 2004 01:41 PM (GMT)
How does the Proletariat Coalition feel about a member of the South Pacific being permitted by his region to post in the Canadian SP embassy (located on the South Pacific Regional Boards), and first imply, and then expressly state, that call Communists, such as those found routinely in your region, are "dishonourable?"

Further, does the Proletariat Coalition have any concerns about the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the South Pacific admonishing me personally for suggesting that their member was out of line for making his anti-left wing comments within the confines of the Canadian embassy in the South Pacific?

That's ok. That's the same approach any of us would take. As you can see, the SP thread has blown up. Lets just say we don't like it when people make backhanded complements to our friends at TPC, and we seem to like it even less when ranking officials in another region show tolerance of such conduct.

If you would like further details regarding this incident, you can visit the appropriate thread at the Soth Pacific Forum: http://invisionfree.com/forums/theSPacific...3630&st=0&#last
This should clarify matters as well as allowing the entire orginal thread.

Sorry but I have some power shortage today :(

Back on the topic, the Coalition is concerned by this kind of statements. It's the rigth of everyone to critizice the communist credo, but not to insult it. This is valuable for every political credo, not only the communist one !
While we are certainly not in a place to alter the foreign policy of the South Pacific, it is discouraging to see that the government of the South Pacific believes it is acceptable to insult any political belief.

We are happy to know that Canadians share the same concerns !

Thanks for your reply. DSSSG, check your PM's - I'm clarifying my position in PM form - I don't want to make statements within the walls of your embassy that might be in contravention to your wishes, so I sent it via PM.

I've answered.
