Wednesday marks the one year anniversary of our annexation of the Empire of Power. The Empire of Power is now an official state of the 10000 Islands and under our complete authority.
For a brief history of the Empire of Power, a couple of years ago they saw a region that they thought would be an easy mark in the then 15 nation region of the 10000 Islands. With the help of a nation called New Boniventure, the 10000 Islands was alerted to the Empire of Power attack. From there, the call for help was put out to many, many regions. Some regions answered our call that night and came to help. Most of those defenders that night came from the Urbanites, Texas, the Rejected Realms, and others.
After the defeat of the Empire of Power, it became the goal of TITO not only to defend the shores of the 10000 Islands, but to also help other regions unjustly attacked. To date, we have defended over 425 regions. The Empire of Power, after multiple losses to TITO and other defenders, finally packed their bags and surrendered to the overwhelming truth that invaders will never succeed for long.
Let the Empire of Power be an everlasting testament to the fact that invaders will always lose in the end.
Our memories are long and our cause is great. Long live freedom, long live the 10000 Islands and long live the first state of the 10000 Islands, the Empire of Power!

Breif addition of my own.
Originally, TITO was a role-playing group with a bent for silliness and I personally had a bent for ranting about ninja-monkeys. My main nation's national animal, and large part of the military.
As for the big day, somber speeches will be made to remember, and then tacos shall be consumed and the good times will roll as the celebration.

I have a question. Are there REALLY 10000 islands, or was that just a convenient name to approximate how many there are. If not, how many islands are there?

The funny thing is, no one knows who came up with the name. Grub became Founder by being our excuetive head, when NS moderators first created the concept of Founder. Even then he did not who created the region.
As to our map, though it doesn't reflect a multitude of islands, I always viewed the region as having islands beyond count. Akin to the 1000 Islands in New York state and Minnesota being the Land of 10000 Lakes.
Though you should be warned, 10000 Islands dressing is nothing like 1000 Islands dressing. That was a Taco Island experiment that took on a life of it own.

Personally, I like blue CHEESE dressing, however I would like to try this 10,000 Islands dressing you speak of.

It wound up as bio-chemical weapon by accident, though if you have an invader problem...it's perfect!:D
If you want to try it anyway, designate a super-fund site and I'll start filing the paperwork to ship hazardous materials.
