The long version:
QUOTE (Fudgetopia)
Well, this draws a new round of elections to a close, and much to my relief, I didn't blow up the forums at my first attempt at running them ... so *snaps* to me ;).

And now for the results...

Stable seats

The Secretary of Intelligence position was held strongly by Promise of Joshua, with a huge 84.62% of the vote.

Slackervania will remain our Secretary of Justice for another term, with another  impressive 84.62% of the vote.

New Cabinet Members!

A massive win was recorded for Caer Rialis, who has been our acting Foreign Affairs minister, with 95% of the vote.

Aurellis has cemented his position as Secretary of the Region, with 78.95% of the vote.  Commiserations to Malak Al Hrak, whose fresh shiny face appealed to some of the region, and earned him a not too shabby 21.05% of the vote.

Also make welcome out new Defence minister, Punk D, who earned himself a seat in cabinet with a nice win and 79.49% of the vote.

Surprise Win (but not by any means a bad thing ;) )

In the closest race in any election I've ever seen, (and that's over 10 months people!), Tsunamy has moved into the Vice President's seat.  The final vote had Tsu with 53.85% of the vote, to Bistmath's 46.15%.  That is one race that had me on the edge of my seat!

And finally ...

Once again, the person who drives us the CrAzIeSt in the SP is Parrrrtay, with a nice win of 37.5% of the vote.
In second place, was the High Priestess of Zepowa, with 22.5%, just pipping Yulia at the post on 20%.
Kloister came in 4th, tied with that mysterious man in the shadows at 7.5%, and Hikarilight was our final entrant on 5% of the vote.

Congratulations to all who won, commiserations to those who didn't, but remember, it's just 2 months to the September elections!

And finally, if someone could please let that man in the shadows know that he can only run for one position?? :P

Bisty being knocked off is a surprise - but then again, Tsunamy is the root admin on their offsite boards and has a long history, so it really isn't a stunning upset - it's not like some newcomer knocked her off. This may be a reflection of the fact that two members of the old guard (LR and Fudgetopia) stepped aside - they were two strong allies of Bisty. Without them around, perhaps she was left more vulnerable (I don't know for sure, I didn't follow the election campaign).

I'm surprised Punk D became SoD. I would have thought Freedom Fighter, Military Force or God Emperor would have taken that one.
