Title: Alberta Crashed

Oilers Fans - June 21, 2004 02:31 AM (GMT)
OK, it appears that the region of Alberta has been crashed. IM was removed from power by the Clan of APE, with aparent help from Adacan/Alberta 1,2,3,4,5,6,7/Canwest......... There was a large influx of UN nations from Area 13 and the Rockies (both known crashing regions) who all endorsed Ape, and, for some odd reason, me. I'll update you all when I find out the full story.

Carbanousa - June 21, 2004 11:33 AM (GMT)
Thanks for the update Oilers Fans.
The only reason I can think for endorsing yourself is to stem suspicion or make it seem like you were somehow involved.

bweezy - June 21, 2004 01:46 PM (GMT)
It's to make it look like CANADA was involved.

Too bad IM and NE had to be such defective individuals. I bet they wish they had a region that was 300 strong ready to jump in and restore order...

He who laughs last, laughs best.

HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

Carbanousa - June 21, 2004 02:48 PM (GMT)
With Oilers Fans frequntment of this board and a Nation resident within Canada, it's the same outcome but with a different process. I just hope that everyone is aware that Canada had nothing to do with this.

Blackshear - June 21, 2004 03:36 PM (GMT)
Canada is well known for its neutrality. If the endorsement of Oilers Fans was part of a smear campaign, it was poorly conceived.

I agree Blackshear.

Beaver-Country-Canada - June 21, 2004 07:33 PM (GMT)
That was an incredibly foolish thing to do. As bweezy said, Canada is 300 strong, and Alberta isn't. Everyone in Canada should know that we were not involved, so it seems like their plan failed miserably.

The U.S.S.B. - June 21, 2004 07:52 PM (GMT)
Excuse me gentlemen. APE had nothing to do with the invasion, only 1-3 of his endorsements were from invaders.

Anyways, I am running for delegate of the region for our elections. If (and probably when) I'm elected, I look forward to re-building our relationship with you.
Keep you posted ;)

Oilers Fans - June 22, 2004 12:23 AM (GMT)
I've taken my endorsement from IM and endorsed USSB.

MrPopo - June 22, 2004 07:51 AM (GMT)
why were you endorsing IM in the first place? :P

The U.S.S.B. - June 22, 2004 05:54 PM (GMT)
Lol, yeah, I pulled my endorsement after the NE vs. Canada issue. :)

Carbanousa - June 22, 2004 09:58 PM (GMT)
Just out of curiosity, what's the general feeling/consensus in Alberta currently?

The U.S.S.B. - June 22, 2004 10:46 PM (GMT)
Relations between the 2 "sides" are cool right now.
Elections are going ahead nicely.
I don't know, hard to classify the current atmosphere without going out on a rant, come take a look at Alberta for yourself and decide ^_^ .

Carbanousa - June 22, 2004 10:49 PM (GMT)
Cheers. Will do. ;) :)

Checkers McDog - June 23, 2004 02:09 AM (GMT)
I was just sent this by IM, and I thought I'd share it:

-------
Checkers,
I wanted to inform you have some recent activity in the Alberta region. Alberta underwent a coup duing our initial run up to our elections (which will coincide with the real Canadian Elections on the 28th).

One of the election issues that has been brought up is re-establishing a relationship with the Region of Canada. If Alberta's new Delegate approaches you with this proposition - I hope you will consider the offer. While it truely was a a shame that we were not able to work things out diplomatically, I respect your decision.

I wish your Nation and the Region of Canada the best.

------

bweezy - June 23, 2004 02:14 AM (GMT)
Obviously IM2 needs us to get reelected. My view is he can go screw himself.

Our demands were clear - we will not deal with Alberta so long as IM2 is delegate, and so long as IM2 and NE are allowed to remain in that region. In my view, it is too late for an appology. Nothing short of ejection from Alberta of those two defective individuals will do, as far as I'm concerned.

Checkers McDog - June 23, 2004 02:17 AM (GMT)
I agree.

I just dropped by Alberta, and IM2 is delegate again, but from what I gather, he is not running for delegate again.

MrPopo - June 23, 2004 02:41 AM (GMT)
IM2 needs to drop dead, Fred

Carbanousa - June 23, 2004 12:47 PM (GMT)
Alberta is slowly evaporating into nothingness. Fifty-Nations of the previous two-hundred. The recent debacle of the mass-ejection, and another crash has left them is total disarray. I think they should be left to wallow in their own self-pity.

Besides, there are bigger fish to fry. ^_^

Oilers Fans - June 23, 2004 06:07 PM (GMT)
Well, IM has said he is going to step down as delegate due to personal reasons. So far, The USSB is going to run in his place. I might be running against him.

If I become delegate, you'll be hearing from me.

The U.S.S.B. - June 23, 2004 07:47 PM (GMT)
There's no need to run against me, we are on the same platform. ^_^
You'll hear from me too.

bweezy - June 23, 2004 09:08 PM (GMT)
Ironic statement of the day:

"I had warned Corner Gas publicly and with PM's regarding his inappropriate behavior (belittleing, name calling, and personal insults).

He was warned first for his actions, but he continued. Eventually he was suspected for 24hrs. No one within the offsite forum can use inappropriate behavior/language, name calling, or personal insults (same goes for within NS)."

Anyone want to guess who made this statement and where?

Checkers McDog - June 23, 2004 09:37 PM (GMT)
5 trillion dollars on IM or NE! :D

Carbanousa - June 23, 2004 10:22 PM (GMT)
IM on Alberrta's off-site forum.

bweezy - June 24, 2004 12:27 AM (GMT)
It was IM, on the Alberta NS onsite forum.

Carbanousa - June 24, 2004 09:11 AM (GMT)
Damn - so close. :wall:

The Clan of APE - July 5, 2004 03:29 AM (GMT)
Wow, I made headlines in Canada... I didn't know it was such a BIG issue.

Fact is, I was just as surprised :o as they were when I got control. All it took was 13 total endorcements, I had 11 for months. When I got power in Alberta, I had IM2's and his buddies endorcements, although, they quickly pulled them as soon as they realized I had them. Then the prevous despots started spewing their fears of INVASION etc...

IM2 got ahead by again by an endorcement in a couple of days, although most of his support came from arriving nations (again all it took was 1 or 2 endorcemets), then he had a bunch of nations got kicked for being multi's several of which had endorced IM2 and not me, aswell as both of us.

In the meantime, I posted on the NS forum looking for new nations to come and join/defend my new order, unfortunatly that was too little to late.
One guy promised 5000 marines, but they never showed...
I didn't realize how unresponse that forum is to assistance. :wall:
Several members at the time were tring to convince me to boot IM2 and if I did, I'd probably still be running the place. But, my policy was "OPEN 27/7, we never close, noone ever gets kicked." I didn't even attempt to cancel the elections that were just
starting there. Although I did state that I would review the election, I was annoyed that I couldn't vote in the last election there, because I didn't have a population of 50+ million, which I still believe is a stupid rule.

IM2 was killing Alberta with his parnoid border closures and fears of invasions, threats of expulsions etc. I felt I could be the bright light from the shadows.
Guess I might have been too bright for some of the dim minded.

As it finally turned out, a new order was officially elected there, IM2, obviously smelling an ill wind, left before the election. Let me add, on the day U.S.S.B's control was to become official, I had the just as many endorcements as he did, a tie...
I messaged U.S.S.B and told him to pull his endorcement from me, so that he could officially become delegate of Alberta.

A couple of days later, as I stated elsewhere, Alberta had settled into an arguement of "whos game console is better" and I decided to come here, I was going to start my own Nation, but I figured I come see what a successful regions are doing. So far, Canada seems like a nice place to be, and there's alot more activity here.

Funny thing, I now realize, if I would have asked for help from Canada at the time of my brief "reign of terror," I might have gotten it. I didn't know IM2 was such a loved individual here.

Sorry for the long-winded diatribe... I just felt I had to tell my side of that story.

That sounds alot like "Jedi-Mind Trick," to me!

*waves hand at APE*

No...it doesn't sound like a jedi-mind trick...

Oilers Fans - July 7, 2004 03:21 PM (GMT)
As have said many times, no body tickle Carbs force. :o

(APE, there are actually alot of Albertans here in disguise, so that is one of the reasons you made the news.)

MrPopo - July 7, 2004 10:08 PM (GMT)
Who are the albertans in disguise hmmmmm?

Oilers Fans - July 7, 2004 10:52 PM (GMT)
