Thanks for your input. I will open up the polling forum so people can post on there. I blocked it initially as I thought that by having it open, people would be setting up polls all the time, and we would end up with dozens of pointless polls, but we will see how it goes.

I will have a look at some of the Latics sites and see if there are any which need a message board, but I think most of them already have their own. I am also looking in to the possibility of having a homepage on which I can put Latics news stories on to make it more of a web site than a forum.

just a suggestion paul, about members not being allowed to post in the poll section, personally think it's a bad idea as it is good to see why people have backed what they have voted up with an explanation as to why!
it's your forum so it's up to you though

also how about getting in contact with an owner of a latics site with no forum *if there is any* and asking them about the idea of you being there forum with a link pinned on the forum at the top linking to that site or a banner!
