Title: ANOTHER Pokemon Movie?

bunnygirl - July 4, 2003 03:03 AM (GMT)
the 5th movie isnt even out yet in America, and now there is a new Pokemon movie: "Nana-Yo no Negai Boshi Jiraachi" (The Seven Nights' Star of Hope--Jirachi).
i heard about it when i was browsing Pokemon stuff on e-bay. does anyone have any info about this movie?

Imaku - July 6, 2003 06:37 AM (GMT)
I think I once saw something about a new Pokemon movie with a title related to stars... I'm not sure if it's the same one you're talking about, since the poster I saw had Absol but no Jirachi...

That's all I can say, really. I'm not even sure if it's the right movie...

Strider - July 6, 2003 10:23 AM (GMT)
Quite an old news actually. There's an info on it on the main site, and the poster as well. Haven't heard anything new about it for months tough.

bunnygirl - July 6, 2003 10:25 AM (GMT)
no no no, im not talking about the one with Latios and Latias in it. this is a totally different one.

*EDIT*

bingo, here it is.

EDIT: its updated now, thanks to the link above.

Kyogre1260 - July 7, 2003 05:07 PM (GMT)
I heard about that. It has s/th to do about Jirachi. It releases in Japan on July 13 or some date close to that.

That's it! That's the poster! I've done research about it for PokeDigiHQ.com (now disbanded and gone forever)... the mini movie will feature the Pichu brothers (from movie 3) and Wynaut somehow...

Well, you did say the 5th movie and it is the one with Latias and Latios in it, and I'll list all the movies to prove it. I'm not saying that you're stupid, but I think that this is a great time to list the movies and their featured Pokemon anyways.

1) Pokemon the First Movie- features Mewtwo and Mew
2) Pokemon 2000- features Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres and Lugia
3) Pokemon the Movie 3- features the Unown and Entei
4) Pokemon 4ever- features Celebi and Suicune
5) Pokemon Heroes- features Latias and Latios
6) Pokemon The Seven Nights' Star of Hope- features Jirachi, Groudon, Absol and Flygon (no Kyogre!?)

valentinolaney - July 13, 2003 11:15 AM (GMT)
I'm not sure if number 6 is right.

I would have to agree, i do not think number 6 is right.

Chrowme - July 20, 2003 11:46 AM (GMT)
Ah. I forgot the movie that never came out in theatres, Mewtwo Returns, which features Mewtwo again. That would make it number 7. :D

If you look at Bunnygirl's wording closely, you would pick up that she meant that Pokemon Heroes isn't out yet and the Jirachi movie is already in the making in Japan.

Bunnygirl never claimed that the Jirachi movie was the 5th. Blame falls on you for not paying attention, and shame falls on you for accusing others wrongly like that. So there. *blows raspberry*

Articunist - July 21, 2003 05:51 AM (GMT)
I am have very good news sources.

This movie features Jirachi (one of the Pokemon that are unobtainable in Ruby/Sapphire that similar to Mew and Celebi) and many other new Pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire.

The release date for Japan is July 19, 2003. There's no US release date yet, as we're still waiting the upcoming movie release, Pokemon Heroes<_< (the 5th movie)
:dumb:
And apparently the release dates are screwed up

The sixth Pokemon movie is now released in Japan  . The title of the movie roughly translates into “The Wishing Star of Seven Nights.” :D This latest film features the new legendary Pokemon in Ruby/Sapphire, Jirachi. Many other new Pokemon from Ruby/Sapphire can be seen in this film as well.

As the for the US release for this movie, there’s no official release date for the movie yet. There’s not even a distributor signed up for this movie. Warner Brothers released the first, second, and third movies. While Miramax, released the fourth and fifth movies. Miramax is only under contract to distribute the fourth and fifth movies, which they already have released.

Sorry, Imaku, but I had an umbrella so that the blame and shame didn't fall on me and instead, fell right beside me. I did accuse someone, so I will say sorry (bunnygirl, sorry). But you do not have to put me down like that. It really hurts when someone does that to me.

Imaku - July 22, 2003 03:57 AM (GMT)
I never meant any offense by it, just putting up a defense. But if you did take offense, then I guess I'm sorry too...

Well, back to the movie. I did say I researched it, and a few release dates turned up. Unless Articunist was right in saying the dates were screwed up, maybe I should dig them up and post it here...?

Chrowme - July 22, 2003 08:03 PM (GMT)
Apology accepted. And yeah, I think you should post it here. Just a word of advice. :P

Red_Phoenix - August 14, 2003 03:42 PM (GMT)
Ouhh! A new pokemon movie! The pokemon movies are so fun...

2legendary4u - July 24, 2004 01:39 PM (GMT)
Yeah, now there is a 7th one that will be coming out this year in December or next year. Then there is an 8th movie! They just keep going and going...

spewing gargoyle - July 26, 2004 12:52 PM (GMT)
I know a list had already been posted but I'll put one up anyway, just to refresh people's memories.
1) Features Mewtwo and Mew
2) Features Articuno, Zapdos, Moltres, and Lugia (Slowking on the side)
3) Unown and Entei
4) Mewtwo Again
5) Celebi and Suicune
6) Latios and Latias
7) Jirachi, Groudon, Flygon, Absol, Dusclops, etc.
8) I'm pretty sure it's Deoxys

That pretty much sums up the Pokemon movies.

bunnygirl - July 26, 2004 05:39 PM (GMT)
Mewtwo Returns doesn't count as an actual movie. It was just a TV special in Japan, and released only on video on America. If you count that as an actual movie, you will have to count all of the other TV specials that were made as well.

2legendary4u - July 27, 2004 06:45 AM (GMT)
Bg's right, Mewtwo Returns isn't an acual movie, even if it seems to be. So scratch that and here is the real list:

1) Pokemon The First Movie (Mewtwo vs. Mew)- Features Mew and Mewtwo.
2) Pokemon The Movie 2000 (The Power of One)- Features Articuno, Moltres, Zapdos, Lugia, and Slowking at the side.
3) Pokemon The Movie 3 (Spell of the Unown)- Features Unown and Entei.
4) Pokemon 4 Ever (Celebi a Timeless Encounter [Japenese name])- Features Celebi and Suicune and a young Prof. Oak.
5) Pokemon Heros- Features Latios and Latias with Kabuto and Aerodactyl.
6) Jirachi Wish Maker- Features Jirachi and an evil Groudon.
7) Visitor of the Space Fissure! [Japanese title. Dubbed title to be announced.]- Features Deoxys and Rayquaza and Tooi [Japanese character name. He is a human BTW.].

Severest - July 27, 2004 03:24 PM (GMT)
the one with jirachi and absol, i heard the absol is supposed to be jirachi's guardian and he helps ash and the gang save jirachi or something like that...

2legendary4u - July 28, 2004 04:26 AM (GMT)
Absol helps Ash and co. save Jirachi, but Absol isn't his gaurdian (Yes, Jirachi is a boy, they even mentioned it). Absol only wanted to help save him because he sensed disaster if Jirachi was away from Forina for too long. I know, I own the movie.

poffessorblahblahson - January 30, 2006 08:58 PM (GMT)
ive also heard of a new pokemon movie called rukario vs deoxys
could someone tell me if this is a real movie?

also i know there is a movie called mew and the wave, guiding hero rukario. so rukario vs deoxys could be the 2nd part of mew rukario whatever i cant be bothered to say the title again.

go look on pokenightmare.com and look on mew and the wave guiding hero rukario to see screenshots and it tells you what happens.

Screeeech 2004 - January 31, 2006 07:17 PM (GMT)
There is a Deoxys film but I don't think it's the same one as the Rukario one.
